We LOVE Neemo. Our boy had always struggled with separation anxiety until he started to attend here a year ago. The teachers in Tohora and Tehehu rooms have been so helpful.
My son Jaisel has now moved on to school after spending 2 wonderful years at this daycare. When he first started, he was quite shy and emotional, and as a parent I was worried about how he would settle in. But with the amazing support of the teachers, he has grown into a confident and independent child. Before enrolling, I visited many daycares around Rolleston but didn’t get a good feeling from the environment or the teachers. The moment I visited Neemo, I was greeted with warm smiles and such a welcoming atmosphere that I felt instantly relieved and grateful to get a spot here. Throughout our time, I always felt reassured—even on days when my son cried at drop-off—that he was safe, happy, and cared for. The teachers are so supportive, nurturing, and genuinely invested in the children. I’m truly thankful to the whole team for giving my son such a positive start to his learning journey. I can honestly say this is the best daycare we have experienced. Highly recommend!
I wanted to share my experience at Neemo Childcare Centre, as I believe there are significant issues that need addressing. My son recently started attending, and I’ve noticed a concerning lack of warmth and inclusivity from the teachers. At his previous kindergarten, the staff were welcoming and engaged with all the children, regardless of their background. Unfortunately, at Neemo, it feels like the teachers are less responsive, especially towards children who don’t fit a certain mold. My son has even mentioned that when he says hello, he often doesn't receive a response. I believe that every child deserves to feel valued and welcomed in their learning environment. It’s disappointing to see such a lack of attention to inclusivity. I hope the management can recognize this issue and work towards creating a more welcoming atmosphere for all children.
I have 2 kids enrolled in this center. They were pioneer students since the center opened. I believe all the centers has their flaws specially the newly opened ones. I have witnessed how my kids settled at this center and how these amazing teachers supported and loved them. I feel at home everytime I drop my kids off. It is like an extension of our house. The people at this center are amazing. I can see and feel the love of the teachers and staff to all the kids that are enrolled at this center. Well done team! Keep it up.
Making the decision to visit Neemo back in February before they were officially open was theeeee best decision ever! Yes, I was a bit hesitant at first due to this being a new center, plus considering having to transition/settle all the children was daunting with a 9mth old. This was a journey my husband and I were at ease with taking after meeting with the lovely staff and owner. The layout of the center is one I truly love, the ability to see the preparation process of the morning tea, lunches and afternoon tea. The visibility of the kiddos rooms when going down the hall gives great insight into the various activities. The size of the babies/toddlers room and playarea is much larger in comparison to a few centres. What's been key here for us is the open and honest conversations we are able to have with management, and every level of staff. We get stories each week that we are able share with our family- makes her big sister happy. Thanks Neemo Team especially to my lovely Koru room fam!!!
We moved our 2 children here after a move from Auckland where they were at a fantastic centre. Neemos has not disappointed and the kids love it. The outdoor areas in all of the rooms are fun and provide great challenge and experience for the children and the teachers are so loving and energetic. As always there are a few teething issues especially being a new centre but nothing compared to what we have heard from many friends at so many other centres across the country, and nothing that hasn't been communicated by management first, anyway!
I have 2 grandbabies at this center. I went to have a look at what they do there and it was a great time. The rooms are bright and happy places. The children have lots of things to do both inside and out, their teachers are marvelous and teaching heaps of fun activities. I am sure the children love the pre school and meeting up with all of their friends every day. Well done teachers and staff for creating such an awesome space for the children.
My kids have been here right from the get go and I've been itching to finally post a review based on my own personal experience. This centre has come a long way. Warm and welcoming as soon as we set foot through the doors. I feel my kids are safe, loved and cared for. They both have also come a long way too. Their growth and development is really showing through. Regular updates online through Educa keep me well informed and I absolutely LOVE seeing my children's stories on there. Makes me feel really connected and involved in their learning journey.
