Beautiful along here.. I really like walking along the river ... Or having a coffee at the cafe, or a meal and a drink at the bar .. both look out over this area. Have enjoyed the river cruise more than once.
The Waimakariri parks are becoming well known for the facilities and the care the local council workers take of them. Mowed lawns, clear walking tracks, rubbish bins, seating and entertainment for both young and old folks alike. We are lucky in the uses our council puts these otherwise empty spaces to.. we have dog parks, walking trails,aquatic park, softball diamonds , sports fields, a food forest, a freedom camping area, and so many other good uses for the locals. I would love to see them really splash out and put in a water play splash pad for the kids.
Best experience ever this is for Aqualand, kids love it and I get to be a kid again, great staff!
We actually went to aqua land and it's amazing definitely a good use of the space out there also cool to just have a picnic in the red zone in general maybe walk the dog
