“Had lunch here today and ordered the chicken katsu donburi special for only $17.50. Best value for lunch, as it also comes with a small bowl of miso soup. The chicken katsu was tasty and the serving size is enough to make me full. The salad is good as well as the carrot tempura with dipping sauce. The staff is nice and friendly. Will come back to try the sushi train or some other food in the menu, and better with my family.”

“Enjoy so much on Saturday lunch, staff are friendly and helpful, kids menu available. The moonshine sausage is nice, beef bresket is soft Buffalo wings is mild hot just right. Enjoyable seating environment.”

“We’ve been coming here regularly lately on a Friday for what we think is the best fish on the coast. The batter is perfect and you can tell they cook in good clean oil . If you want a quick, tasty Kiwi favourite dinner, I highly recommend Ocean Eats.”

“Even though it is a little expensive, I can't deny the food tasting very good. I would always order either the Vegetable Tempura Noodles [I think?] or the Pork Tonkotsu one [I really can't remember the exact names but something of the sort]. Come out fairly quick and quality has never changed since I started eating here. It's a great place to treat myself. Not to mention the sushis on the constantly moving conveyor belt are also made to great quality and taste. I especially love that one Aburi Prawn one? It just has such a nice taste to it. Great place awesome 10/10 yum yum delicious.”

“Everytime I've been here, service is 5 star anyway but this branch and staff is exceptional. I came in with a big order and brought my own container with for them to pack it in and they were more than happy to cater to this. Admittedly feel like St Pierre's is long overdue for an upgrade in terms of their plastic packaging, but there is a work around and they cater. 10/5 stars for service! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐”

“I absolutely love Japanese food, and Daruma Ramen is the best I’ve had so far in Auckland. We’ve been here so many times — it’s become our go-to place for dinner, and it never disappoints. The food is consistently delicious, authentic, and comforting. The service is always excellent, and I especially love the robot food server — such a fun and unique touch! The place itself is modest but very comfortable, which makes it even more welcoming.”

“Amazing food! Loved the starters, pizza, pasta, and dessert. The owner was extremely friendly and helpful. The other staff were also very nice and efficient. They definitely deserve all the prizes they’ve won for their pizza! I’m more of a pasta gal, but my husband was on pizza induced cloud nine. “Had dinner at Portofino Takapuna, an authentic Italian restaurant by the beach. I ordered the Prosciutto Pizza and Seafood Risotto—both were absolutely amazing. The pizza was perfectly baked with a thin, crispy base and generous toppings, while the risotto was rich, creamy, and full of fresh seafood flavours. A truly delightful dining experience that captures the taste of Italy right here in Takapuna. Highly recommended!”

“5 stars because they’re the first place I’ve seen that has offered a $0.50 discount (minimum spend req.) for BYO sushi container - double thumbs up! The sush itself is probs about 3 stars but I go back for the convenience. Update: they do amazingly delicious poké bowls for lunch - the spicy salmon (pictured) is my personal favourite as it’s fresh and yum”
