1. Love Aguilar Gajisan ★★★★★

   I absolutely love Japanese food, and Daruma Ramen is the best I’ve had so far in Auckland. We’ve been here so many times — it’s become our go-to place for dinner, and it never disappoints. The food is consistently delicious, authentic, and comforting. The service is always excellent, and I especially love the robot food server — such a fun and unique touch! The place itself is modest but very comfortable, which makes it even more welcoming.

   Found the miso tonkatsu ramen to be mostly noodles and not much else. Miso soup wasn't that nice, old tasting perhaps which meant the miso tonkatsu ramen also not that great. The portion is a decent size and the noodles themselves are fresh. Not a great atmosphere, no windows, although robot bringing the food adds a little to the atmosphere. Rest of family happier with their food and it looked better. Avoid the miso ramen I would say. Don't think I'll go back

   We came just for a quick, humble feed but were still underwhelmed. The food was passable at best. The atmosphere is a cramped, crowded canteen-style eatery with cheap furnishings, decorations and cutlery… which would be totally fine if the food was good. Sadly, everything was awful. The ramen was the real disappointment though - a cloying, ill-textured puddle of blah with oversized fried chicken balls. Everything we ate was too sweet and/or strong yet with a shallow depth of flavours. The portions were also quite small for the prices (not that you’d want them any bigger). If it wasn’t a Monday we would have gone to ‘House of Ramen MEN-ICHI’ right around the corner where they serve delicious food at a cheaper price with bigger servings. Head there instead.

   Decent ramen when your craving for it, good flavor filled with a lot of umami. The broth is homely and just hits the spot when you've got a bit of the sniffles in the cold weather. Will be back. Food 4/5 Atmosphere : 5/5 Pricing 4/5

   Nice warm welcome when we entered. food and experience was great overall! Waitress was lovely, not too pushy like some other places. Restaurant wasnt too packed and it was nice and clean. 1st time there will Def be back. Our meals were around the $20 pp. Abit pricey but I didn't mind bcos I wasn't paying lol. I highly recommend this place.
