“We had the most amazing function at the Portside bar, my daughter’s 1st birthday! The staff were absolutely amazing, the venue was open, bright and very clean. Vickie made organising super easy! Would highly recommend for any event!”

“Had a brief overnight with my children before a horribly early international flight. Fantastic service and location. Room was small but its perfect for a quick stop. If you were a party of 5, upgrade to a bigger room! Gent on the desk was super helpful with transfer information! Would definitely stay again.”

“I stayed here for one night before my international flight the next morning. The manager was really nice and kindly arranged a shuttle to the airport for just $10, based on my flight time, which was super convenient. I accidentally left my phone charger in the room but had to rush for my flight. After I returned to New Zealand, I contacted them and they were incredibly kind—they had kept my charger safe and returned it to me. Really appreciate their honesty and helpfulness. A great place to stay, especially if you’re flying out of the airport!”

“Rooms very nice and service was excellent. Our family of 5 were situated above reception and had a balcony - view of beach across the road. There were 3 rooms, separate bathroom and kitchen. Very comfortable place to stay. Walking distance to town, approx. 10min walk.”

“Great location and nice motel. Some things could go with a freshen up. But overall good value for money. Only the bar chairs at the table are not suitable as to high and my legs would touch the table. Besides of that very lovely staff and all amenities provided in the room (towels, soap, shampoo, milk, coffee, tea & hot chocolate). Thanks.”

“I cannot say enough superlatives about our stay at the Parnell Garden Suite. Susan is the most gracious host and has thought of every single detail that a traveler may need. We were pleasantly surprised with a well-stocked kitchen with numerous breakfast items that lasted all four days of our stay. The unit is immaculate and decorated in a very modern fashion. Susan was communicative and accommodating. She lives right above the property and very easy to contact with questions. We stayed in over 8 different properties during our stay in New Zealand and Susan's place was one of our favorites!”

“Where comfort meets location- we loved our stay at the Lodge! Wonderfully situated near the train station, a wonderful coffee shop (Handpicked Roasters), bottle shop, superette, and many tasty international food options. It is an older building, but we found it cozy and loved the bed heaters, dining area, and the fact that they had all the fifa football channels. If you're looking for an affordable, comfy spot outside of the city, this is it!”
