She has helped me get to what is at the root of what is bothering me and be more honest about my feelings, whatever they may be, positive or negative. She has done this in a gentle way. I don’t feel judgement emanating from her, but sympathy and empathy. The way she has listened to and been accepting of me has helped me in my relationship with my husband and my daughter as I can more easily recognise, accept and be up front about how I am feeling. I am continuing to learn how to communicate these things with them. She has also helped me recognise when my husband is being loving towards me (or not). Another priceless thing she has encouraged me to do is pursue my interest in creative writing. The benefits to me of continuing with this passion are untold. Creative writing helps me be more assertive and confident about taking up my space in the world. I don’t know if I would be doing it if it wasn’t for my counselling sessions with her.”

Although he could be quite challenging behaviorally, Petparks understood him and managed him really well and he was always happy and relaxed about going there. Jennifer and Louise were always accommodating and gracious about booking changes, and drop off and pick up times. I never felt hurried when updating them about anything new each time I checked him in for a stay - I felt that they were genuinely interested in his welfare, and fond of him. I was able to enjoy complete peace of mind about him whenever I was away, and I recommend this place unreservedly. Plus Jennifer does the most fabulous grooming!”

“The Hendriks are a great husband wife team. They are friendly and very helpful. IN 2013 Ron did 4 implants for me. He was very careful in placing these and helpful in proper dental hygiene after the crowns were placed. These 4 implants with crowns have given me no trouble since being placed. I can eat properly again. I have had many dentists in the past. However, Ron's professionalism and skill as a dentist make him a Top Dentist. If I didn't live out of the country, Ron would be our family dentist. I would highly recommend him to anyone needing dental work.”

“I came to Zen in January 2018, I was stuck using a variety of drugs but the most debilitating was a government funded opioid substitution treatment which I had been on since 2015 for a heroin addiction. No other detox would take me due to dual diagnosis and the severity of my history and significant chance of relapse, I felt like I would never be able to get off. I was suicidal, lost and had no hope of ever living clean. I had my assessment with Lance at the end of 2017 and we discussed some treatment options, it was decided that I would stay for three months and then look into moving on into a recovery house. I was scared, detox is an incredibly challenging part of the process for everyone involved. I remember my first day at Zen, the nurse at the time was just gorgeous and supported me massively, bringing me medication and helping me to be as comfortable as possible in A BEAUTIFUL removed location in West Auckland. The peer support staff were patient and kind (and I was pretty hard work over the first month of my stay) and they kept encouraging me to keep going aswell as delivering me their message of recovery and hope. I was taken out to do things to keep my mind busy, a special thanks to Chris who was always full of ideas to keep me occupied. (The massage therapist Jodi is just beautiful) Post detox I stayed for another two months where I learnt to eat, exercise and function again as a human being, and I started to get involved in 12 step fellowships which have been a huge support to my recovery to this day. I cannot begin to express my gratitude for everything Lance and the team at Zen have helped me gain back, and the patience and understanding I received as an addict in early recovery. I love you all so so so so so so much and without the support of this place my recovery would be without a home. I plan to keep going back to Zen regularly to stay in contact and I've made life long friends. Could not recommend enough! And I'm so excited for what the future has to hold for this revolutionary approach on detox and wellness. I'm an incredibly grateful addict today because without my disease I wouldn't know what real freedom and happiness looks like. Give it a go, you might just find a life worth living.”

The nurses also were so lovely and caring and gave him a head and ear massage which he absolutely loved and it made me feel so happy that he was so well looked after and spoilt. “This is the pharmacy in my neighborhood and we are so lucky to have it. The customer service is excellent. Himesh and his team always goes extra miles to help. I was reading another review regarding investigation of prescription. But I must say it is a good thing. One time my son's GP prescribed a very high dose of his Allergy medication to put him to sleep during flight. We know the intention. But the pharmacist was quick to point out the dose should not be that high. Doctors are human and can make mistakes too. It is a good feeling that everyone is doing their part sincerely.”
