This has been my go to Vet since my elderly dog began declining physically from what was suspected to be cushings disease among a variety of other issues. I was given so many options and helpful tips on how to manage my dogs discomfort by the veterinarians as well as the other members of staff. They were all wonderful. Even as I put my pup to rest last month, I truly felt as though they cared for my pain and helped me get through this rough patch. It's not just a job to them, it's their passion. Thank you guys, I really appreciated you as I am sure Sarang did too.

I feel furious about making this review. I have been to this Vet before to put down my poor young cat who was hit by a car 6 years ago. Under the circumstances I felt that we were handled well. Last Friday we had the deeply unfortunate position of bringing our matriarch Frink to the vet. She was poorly and had declined fast and we weren't sure of her prognosis. After making the appointment time that the clinic decided on, we brought my best friend of 10 years in. We were met with desensitized treatment from the get go from the surgeon. He quickly let us know there was no chance of revival and that euthanasia was the only option. Whilst we understood, we were told within 10 minutes of arrival and were hurried to euthanize straight away as "he had other people to see" ... we were in total shock. My beautiful baby was my entire world. My service cat. Dutiful, faithful, loyal. All her years of solidarity to our family we wished to honor with love, dignity and respect pushed aside in an insensitive rush for the next person. It was Friday, he was over it... hurry up and get on with the inevitable. I was sickened. I had my young distraught daughter with me. When I spoke up on the injustice of it all... the mood changed and we were given more time. However, when comforting my daughter by saying her last cuddles were adored by our Frink with purrs, the surgeon reacted with "I'm sorry but thats just what they do when they are on their way out..." as well as saying that Frink didn't even know we were there. Where sir, is your decorum? For goodness sake. Read the room. Tonedeaf and beyond insensitive. These were our last moments. To project onto my child, your lack of compassion at a time she needed it the most, is disgraceful. The nurse who followed the passing of our dear Frink, was far more gentle with our grief. Remember that the people who come to you with their worlds, are not just numbers. I hope noone else has this heartbreaking experience as they bid farewell.

Took our boy Romeo to the vet today for a quick check up as he wasn’t feeling too well, the ladies there were amazing! welcoming, friendly and helpful! ☺️

Our boy Turbo (very sensitive dog) is treated with such care and kindness at Hibiscus coast vets by whoever we see. The team are always so polite and accomodating to us as well- your fur babies are in great care with this team.

The staff are so lovely and experienced. My dog Taz had a day stay recently and the vet, Susan, explained everything to me and was so thorough. The nurses also were so lovely and caring and gave him a head and ear massage which he absolutely loved and it made me feel so happy that he was so well looked after and spoilt. It gave me peace of mind when leaving him in their care. Thank you for all that you do! Hanna and Taz :)

Took our beloved 16 year old cat Pepsi to see Nick for the first time. He was quick to diagnose that he was in severe renal failure. Sadly this meant that it was time for us to say goodbye to him. We are eternally grateful for the compassion and care we received from him and all his staff during a very difficult time. His genuine empathy will forever be etched in our memory and cannot thank the whole team enough.

The veterinary surgeon, held my dogs hearts and saved Gizmos life more than once, he gave Gizmo 200% of his wonderful caring ways. Gizmo was a very sick dog from birth and was so, so lucky to have Nick for his vet, as he saved Gizmos life more than once. He had high blood pressure, had all his teeth removed at one year old due to another disease. Luckily Gizmo was a happy dog and remained always happy for Nick. He was diagnosed with many faults but managed to live until he was twelve years old. He was my β€˜heart’. He died peacefully in my arms after a final injection from Nick who agreed it was the right thing to do. I still miss him and luv him and always will. BUT WE WILL MEET AGAIN,when it’s my turn. Yoda also misses him but not as much as I do (plus now he’s β€˜topdog’ he thinks he’s allowed to do what he wants (No he’s not). Thank you Nick from the bottom of my heart from r taking such great care of Gizmo, I guess you probably miss our visits too, but we’ll see you soon when I bring Yoda in to see you. Thank you for being you from the bottom of my heart Patricia Burgess ❀️❀️

Nick and Debra are incredibly caring and amazing at what they do. I trust them implicitly with all of our pets, and they understand how they’re not just our pets but family members too. Easily the best veterinary clinic in Auckland, they are always so lovely and go the extra mile to give our pets the best care, wouldn’t go anywhere else!

This is Gizmo when I first brought him home, I fell in love the first time we met. He owes his life to Nick and the staff. He has an auto immune disease, a heart murmur, high blood pressure and he’s has had pneumonia three times and almost died but he’s a fighter, at 1 year old he had all his teeth removed to stop the auto immune disease from giving him ulcers throughout his mouth and throat. I fed him on chicken soup for two to three weeks and he slowly recovered. Thanks to Hibiscus Coast staff and Nick my dog may reach twelve years of age in Sept 2020, here’s hoping.

Moved to Nick the Vet a couple of years ago and have been really impressed with his service. Looked after our grand old Bullmastiff Smidge so well before she recently peacefully passed away. Nick's practice and staff are so friendly and helpful.
