I appreciate nothing more than sitting down during work hours, thinking I am going to be in for 15min of being put on hold, and finding I am speaking to a polite, helpful and knowledgeable customers service rep. βWe had the most wonderful experience today at the clinic. Despite not being able to make contact via the phone at the start, I was called back and had an appointment made promptly. Not only that, but when we arrived we were appointed Dentist Rehutai, who recognised that we spoke Te Reo MΔori and adapted to speak to my children and I in Te Reo. It was a truly calming and inviting experience. Our whΔnau feel very fortunate to have our local children's dentist acknowledge our tuakiritanga and also it left us feeling empowered and inspired by our wΔhine MΔori who are healthcare providers as they create a space that is safe for us to be MΔori and that our needs are met.
