I have been with them since University. I have my house, content, car insurance, kiwisaver and life policy with them. I wish they did comprehensive business insurance and I would have gone there too. Left briefly when I first bought my rental to Amp via the banks recommendation but went back as soon as I could. Over 20 years later, I'm completely happy. great service everytime
Shockingly awful response to my car insurance claim. I was struck by another vehicle. MAS got the claim details wrong, then went dark for 3 months, never responded with an answer to emails, no-one called, and I'm still waiting. What's the point? Happy to take your money, not happy to stand by you to get it sorted - WOULD NOT RECOMMEND.
Refreshingly good customer service from a New Zealand company. And you would think I would have to pay a premium for this, but in fact all three car insurances were lower than State's. I appreciate nothing more than sitting down during work hours, thinking I am going to be in for 15min of being put on hold, and finding I am speaking to a polite, helpful and knowledgeable customers service rep. I have always heard good things about MAS from their customers. Keep up the great work.
I have both my cars and and house insured with MAS and have been fairly happy with their service, however one of my policies have just come up for renewal and the was a 25% increase in my premium. I phoned to enquire what was going on and the reason was essentially because COVID⦠and I should expect to see these increases when my other policies come op for renewal.
We have been with MAS for a number of years now. As a company they are responsive, professional and incredibly easy to deal with.
As an impecunious medical student I was insured by Medical Assurance in 1977 when I bought a motorbike. I have stayed with them ever since. They have been superb to deal with, so much so that my 2 kids who are both now doctors too continue to be members.
Longest answering blurb on the planet and then all the operators are busy. Not impressed
