I spent 6 weeks working through a process with this company, involving the printing out of bank statements, policy cancellation forms, etc. and then signing them posting them to Wellington, and then emailing the company for updates repeated times as they didn't respond to me or keep me updated. All in order to get a policy cancelled. And right at the end of the process they tell me that my policy has now defaulted to a different company, and I need to start again. Overly bureaucratic, process-oriented rather than customer-oriented, and very frustrating. Avoid this company at all costs Edit: Thanks for your response, Tessa. No, I won't be wasting more of my time with your box-ticking exercise. I hope Fidelity Life closes down soon, and you all find jobs quickly with a better company. Regards

I usually do not write negative reviews, regardless of my experience, as I understand that everyone is working hard to make a living these days. However, this time I felt deeply hurt and disappointed. I was given numerous promises about various aspects, but when my husband needed help, all I received were excuses and empty words instead of genuine help. I was uncertain whether we could make a claim until a conversation with a colleague, during which I mentioned that my husband, despite his toughness, was experiencing significant pain and unable to work. My colleague suggested contacting our insurance company, so I reached out to our broker. Unfortunately, the response was more empty promises rather than the support we needed. When the policy was initially presented to us over a year ago, we were given many assurances, but it turned out to be quite misleading. As a result, we have decided to return to our previous insurance company.

Complete lack of integrity. Crisis cover for a benign brain tumour. The policy states a brain tumour "requiring removal by craniotomy". The policy is paid out "at diagnosis". Surgeons diagnosed my tumour, and that treatment by craniotomy was necessary. I chose not to have a craniotomy. Fidelity declined my claim stating the craniotomy is "mandatory" and they will only honor the policy after a craniotomy has been completed. Senior claims managers and fidelity staff could not identify where the policy says this. A senior claims manager stated "it doesn't specifically say it". But their claims committee managed to determine this at their own internal meeting.

I would highly recommend Fidelity Life Insurance. My claim was processed in a timely manner & in good faith. Communication & guidance with customer services from beginning to end was smooth & transparent. The outcome deserves a 5+ star rating.

Appalling service! Owe me money! I bank with Wesptac & theyβre their partner for Life Insurance. Other insurers (ie: content & vehicle) Iβve engaged with via Westpac are nothing like them, theyβre trustworthy!

Invisible customer service. No customer contact number or email address supplied on Fidelity letters received in the post. Call waiting time ridiculous. No quarterly statements or invoices (unlike utility companies) - Fidelity just suck the money out of our account. Do not insure with this company as its inwards focussed. Imagine the lack of care in a crisis when they canβt even respond to everyday enquiries. The CEO and leadership team should be appalled at the βriskβ this poses to their business. People will walk. Looking at past reviews, they already are.

The most disgusting insurance company we have had to deal with. My parents are old and they already find it hard to navigate the system. My dad has been trying to contact them for 2-weeks and no one even cared enough to call back. They have not answered phone calls and neither do they respond to our emails. We will be changing all our policies immediately to a more trusted provider.
