The teachers are patient, professional, and kind. My son's key teacher, Dan is absolutely wonderful! She is knowledgeable, patient, and so gentle. Joshua loves his teachers and the whole environment here. I’m so grateful for the care and support they provide!”

“Our 2 year old daughter started here 3 months ago and we are absolutely thrilled with this centre. It’s a wonderful, big, happy and exciting environment for the kids while also being surprisingly calm, and the teachers are truly wonderful. They have all been so kind and caring and have really helped to ease the transition for our daughter who has been nervous about starting kindy. You can tell that they are all truly caring and wonderful teachers. The centre also has a great routine with the kids and is well managed and privately owned which I think is a big benefit. Highly recommend.”

“My grandchildren went through this kindy and absolutely loved it. It has the best teachers who are highly professional, approachable and kind. Everyone of them has a true passion for what they do. It is a very welcoming and inclusive place; they nutured my grandchildren in all different aspects of their little lives. We found it to be a very supportive and community focused kindergarten that allowed everyone to be accepted for who they are. The values that the kindy teaches are really just common sense values (having empathy, showing kindness and respect for others) this is clearly seen in both the teachers and the children when you are there. We thoroughly enjoyed the regular family events that they run and are often helping out where we can.❤️”

“An amazing environment for little ones to learn, play and interact with nature. The staff are lovely, attentive and so genuine. My son is in the Kea room and when I drop him off I have peace of mind that he is being loved and cared for just like he would be at home. Highly recommend Henderson Valley private kindergarten.”

“This was the first and only Kindergarten we looked at for our oldest boy. We instantly felt welcomed by all the amazing teachers who helped our son settle in quickly. Their get ready for school programme has proved outstanding as our son transitioned seamlessly into school life. The entire team at Gardner Road are empathetic, fair and show a great love and passion for what they do. There is a strong sense of community within the Kindy too. We cannot wait for our two little ones to turn 3 so they can attend Gardner Road too.”

“We couldn’t be happier with Poppies! Both of our kids have been attending for the past 5 years, and the teachers have been consistently amazing. The staff are super helpful and caring — mornings are always smooth because the teachers take the time to greet the kids, talk to them, and help them settle in with a warm hug if needed. One of the things we appreciate most is the low staff turnover, which creates a stable and comforting environment for the children. “What makes this kindy so special is that it feels like a family. The team create a welcoming and caring environment and encourage every child to learn and play in line with their interests and at their own pace. The teachers are positive and engaged while also patient and they see the uniqueness in every child. Our daughter enjoys the atmosphere and made friends, quickly. The age spread is 2.5y to 5y and the group is relatively small which creates a very calm, kind, and compassionate environment for the kids. The kindy is affiliated with Glendowie Presbyterian Church, hence Christian values are key pillars of the concept and felt throughout. It's a small kindy with a big heart and we wouldn't want to send our daughter anywhere else.”

“Parakai Kindergarten is a place where you child feels safe, seen and gently encouraged to build their confidence. My son had spent the last 3 years there before turning five and moving to school. Even though he’s moving to school, and his teacher is going to be his mum he still wanted to stay at kindy where “he was so happy”. I feel that the teachers deep love and respect for their tamariki is illustrated in my son’s statement as he was so sad to leave his favourite place. Kindy isn’t just a space place for the children but a space for the whole family to be connected to the thriving community and culture that envelopes Parakai Kindergarten. As a mother and a teacher I could not recommend Parakai Kindy enough and only wish I had sent my older son there too.”
