Both of my kids attended this kindergarten, and we absolutely loved being part of such a warm, welcoming community. We made wonderful friends, created lasting memories, and experienced some of the best early learning in the neighborhood. The teachers truly go the extra mile to provide high-quality early childhood education. They are caring, experienced, and incredibly knowledgeable. Just as importantly, they foster a strong sense of community for all the families, creating a nurturing and inclusive environment where everyone feels welcome. Iβm particularly amazed by the number of thoughtfully prepared invitations to playβonce, I counted ten in a single day! The teachers plan and share weekly updates, and they are always approachable and open to conversations. This is truly a child-led kindergarten at its heart, where tamariki are encouraged to explore, learn, and grow at their own pace. From a young age, the children are taught to respect and care for PapatΕ«Δnuku (Mother Earth), which beautifully reflects the values this place instills. Kids learn so much here and spend some of the best years of their lives in this special place. What a wonderful environment to grow up in!

The happiest, nurturing little place ever! Weβve been part of the kindy family for 3 years now after moving both our kids out of private daycare to Glendowie kindy. Shona and her team of teachers are incredible!! Super experienced, dedicated, and show genuine love and care for the kids. The set up is awesome - heaps of space both inside and out and a huge variety of activities. The teachers set up different learning experiences each day and have a great range of learning resources. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a kindy

We moved our son here from a daycare settings last year and boy are we glad we did! The teachers at this kindergarten are incredible and my son has thrived, gained confidence and is very happy. A great sense of belonging and community. Could not recommend it more.

Glendowie Kindergarten has been the best ECE for my 3 children. The quality of teaching has always been top notch and the kids have enjoyed the strong sense of belonging, links to the local community as well as the rich indoor and outdoor play environments (best sandpit!). Its a Green-Gold level enviroschool so the additional kaupapa involved prepares them well for the next stage of their education. Love this place.

They don't really need a review I guess, they have such a high reputation in the local community. All the teachers love the children sincerely and pride themselves in providing safe, fun and healthy environment. You can feel the positive energy as soon as you walk in and feel how much thought they have put into arranging the setup each week. The children form reliable relationships with the four permanent teachers and my boy has gained so much confidence here and now even able to do show&tell in front of the class at school. I thank the teachers at Glendowie Kindergarten ae he enjoyed his time here. I wish my boy started here sooner.
