“Was actually looking for other options but was recommended by one of the staff at one of the wineries. What turned up is in fact one of the best meal we had in this trip. The smoked chicken is one of the best I have eaten given the juiciness of the breast meat , the brisket literally melts in the mouth. Usually not a fan of pulled pork as it is either too tough to chew or that too much seasoning in it . What we liked is in fact it is not too flavorful yet enough seasoning to make it delicious .”

“Golden Silk Thai is a special place where very good food can be found. I am not unfamiliar with Golden Silk as the family have been getting take aways there for years. They provide a very authentic menu and is well worth spending time in the restaurant too as some of the best dishes are only served in the restaurant. Highly recommended”

“Very impressed! Very busy with locals, truckies and tradies, always a sign of good food and service. A real value for money place to either stop and eat or pick up yummy, tasty cabinet food. Keep an eye out on the main road for it, especially if you have the kids with you. Good old icecreams and milkshakes too. Spotlessly clean, as are the toilets.”

“Really tasty food, well balanced flavours. Love the ratio of meat, rice and salad. My partner doesn't eat salad so I happily had his share. So glad they had a pop up at Smales Farm but wished they could stay longer. The spaghetti and chicken was tasty too! Highly recommend the adobo, lechon and inasal.”

“One of the best Indian Restaurant in west Auckland. You don’t find the authentic Indian taste everywhere in Auckland but Shahi is a must visit for all the food lovers. Amazing food with great service from the team . The owners are very welcoming. It’s my go to place every weekend . You must try the Palak Paneer/Veg Kofta /Veg Biryani and Momos they are very good . I am a vegetarian but my friends have tried lamb biryani and curry and they like it a lot.”

“I absolutely loved my experience at this Nutella Creperie! The crepes were perfectly made — light, warm, and generously filled with Nutella. “Highly recommended. Any new Indian restaurant I go to, I always ask for a hot butter chicken. This is how I benchmark. Sangram came in with one of the best butter chickens I have had in a long time! I always order a Peshwari Naan as well. Even though the Peshwari Naan was not on the menu, they made one for me! Impressed. The butter chicken and the naan were the highlight. What they can improve on….the mixed platter. It was a mixed review. The chicken tikka very tasty, samosa was ok and lamb was good. The onion bhaji was rock hard. Overall a $13 dish not a $26 dish. Come to Sangram for the butter chicken and a peshwari naan! You won’t be disappointed!”

“We have been a frequent customer at Zac’s Pizza, mostly ordering takeouts, but we decided to stop by for a dinner this time, and it did not disappoint! We started with the cocktail shrimp, which came in a generous portion and was absolutely delicious. The salad was fresh and vibrant, complemented by a unique and flavourful special ingredient sauce that really set it apart. For the main course, I had the steak, and it was everything I hoped for—tender, juicy, and perfectly cooked, with a rich and savory mushroom sauce. The service was excellent, and despite the restaurant being busy, we only had to wait around 20 minutes for our food. The staff here are always so friendly, with a smile on their faces, making us feel right at home. Plus, there’s plenty of parking out front, which makes everything even more convenient. We’ll definitely be back again soon!”

“Great atmosphere. Food is really delicious. The only reason for 4 stars is that the steak was a little bit over cooked, but luckily still pink. The stuffed chicken was fantastic, the peppercorn sauce the star of the show! Friendly staff and prompt service. Great restaurant with good variety. Today, I couldn't fault anything.
