   I purchased a "new" game that was not factory-sealed; it only had a piece of adhesive tape poorly applied across the opening. When I tried to return the unused item the next day, the store refused, claiming the removal of their own sellotape (to check the game was inside) meant the game was no longer considered sealed. I recommend buying your video games elsewhere.

   Poor Customer Service at Mt Roskill Branch I had a disappointing experience at Harvey Norman Mt Roskill. From the moment I approached the till, I didn’t feel welcomed. The attendant was cold, didn’t use any polite words or greetings, and the whole interaction felt like it was a chore for them. What made it worse was being asked for a physical form of ID, despite the purchase email confirmation making no mention of it. I had a digital ID - Passport, but it did not seem to be enough. The lack of clarity and the tone of the service left a really poor impression. Customer service should reflect respect and helpfulness — sadly, that was missing in my visit. It was my first and maybe my last visit.

   I bought a Haier washer and dryer on 11/09/2025, and my experience with Harvey Norman Mt Roskill was extremely poor. After waiting two weeks, I was told my order had arrived, but when I went to collect it, only the washer was the correct black colour. The dryer was white, even though I ordered black for both. When I asked the salesperson to check other branches, he appeared unhappy with my request. I specifically asked him to call Wairau Valley, where I’ve always had excellent service. They had the correct dryer, but I had to drive 35–40 minutes to Albany to pick it up. The first Haier washing machine was faulty, and the replacement also had issues with the softener dispenser. The manager’s email responses, in my experience, lacked empathy and were not helpful. Based on my experience, the service at the Mt Roskill store was extremely poor. I requested my store credit be transferred to Wairau Valley, where the service has always been outstanding. I’ve now switched from Haier to LG, and the replacement is being delivered on Monday 1/12/2025.

Their product knowledge and willingness to help make shopping here such an easy and enjoyable experience. Highly recommend this store for great service and a positive vibe every time!

   Great customer service. Went in to buy a new vacuum and the lady who helped us was super knowledgeable and guided us to the right machine for our house, it’s a great machine and works great and was an excellent deal. Also I really appreciated the guy who was helping us in the beginning who got the lady to help us after saying he didn’t know enough to be as helpful to us which I seriously appreciated because more often than not I find that in retail I get a lot of people who don’t know what they are talking about and are more interested in forcing a sale than giving correct information so hats off to that guy. :)

   Ordered photos 6 days ago via next day service. Paid but received no confirmation of pickup. I get there on the 6th day and im told printer doesnt work my order hasn't been actioned. No contact, no help. I needed photos today, the least they could do is call me to advise and i would have arranged somewhere else...bad service

   When it’s say Harvey Norman customer parking at the back, the staff at Harvey Norman won’t let me park there lol. Bad CS before I even enter into the store. But the staff in the shop was very helpful and friendly, review is to the dude who stood outside of the Harvey Norman car park
