“Visited the Cafe and exhibitions today. The Cafe food and coffee was top quality, and the exhibition spaces are well set out. The art works were suitably challenging, made us think and ponder, which good art should do! Highly recommend a visit.”
“Great place, so easy to clip multiple kids on and trust they’re fine until the next wall. Dominique was phenomenal; so personable, helpful and knowledgeable.”
“Very sad to see where so many were washed ashore that night so many years ago. All the documentaries & history books can't show you how far away from Wellington CBD by road it all was. I think it is a must see for all NZers.”
“The kids love this playground. Lots of options for games and activities with plenty of places to sit for a snack and a drink as well. Having the cafe kiosk and toilet block right there is equally important for kids and parents.”
“Well maintained and good views.”
“It's a huge outdoor playground with an older kids area, younger kid locked and fenced area, and an accessible toilet. The facilities are well maintained and all functional. The toilet and the playground are clean and tidy. There's ample free off street parking right at the entrance of the park.”
“Had a kids party here. Easy to arrange, and the kids loved it. Food and service was good and the play area was great. Only negative would be how cramped the seating area is”
“Great spot with plenty for kids and families-Junglerama, Jumperama, Cyberpunk, Clip ’n Climb, and the arcade. It’s not the cheapest day out, but it definitely wears the kids out and creates some great memories. The café food is pretty average, but fine for a quick drink and some hot chips.”
“Great dog walking spot. Big carpark opposite Bunnings. It's usually busy if the weather is nice. BYO balls or just pick up a stick for your dog. Plenty of large bits of driftwood along the way for having a seat and taking a break. Bags are usually available and rubbish bins are in several places. My favourite place to take my dog.”
