“Phoned when a burst pipe threatened to ruin my weekend, and the inside of a wall of my house. Managed to get a plumber to call that afternoon. George found the fault and fixed it, including having to cut through a wall, and also go under the house - not pleasant when the water had been pooling by the entry door in the foundation - he also cleaned up afterwards and left everything tidy. Very impressed with the service - happy to recommend.”

It has a unique vibe all of its own that's homely and unassuming, all in a good, chilled out way. It's by far the best choice of the cafes over this side of Lyall Bay, balancing value and taste perfectly.”

“Love this place :) Casual beachside setting with delicious coffee and food. They mainly serve scones, cakes, and sandwiches. Perfect for enjoying some sunshine, ocean breeze, and a laid-back vibe. Best on sunny days, though it can get chilly and there are no outdoor heaters so bring a layer. The cheese scones are pretty good too, with a nice crunch on the outside but the matcha latte is so good!”

“Mediterranean Foods Wellington has the best pizza in Wellington, hands down. The linguine is absolutely to die for, and every visit has been matched with genuinely friendly, welcoming staff. The place has such a good vibe — warm, lively, and the kind of spot you can proudly bring friends or family who are visiting from out of town. A definite favourite and an easy 5 stars. “I don’t typically enjoy stepping foot inside a Hallensteins store as I find it is often filed with grubby teen lads, and I often don’t find clothing I would like to wear. However, I was more than impressed by the Lambton quay hallensteins. Particular note must be made of the lighting quality in the changing rooms. Doubled my shop time by simply staring at myself in the mirror. Copped 2 very nice t-shirts as well for a handy 2 for $50 deal! “Went here for my very first haircut at Wellington and had such a good experience. I got there 10 minutes early and my haircut started right on time, which was awesome. I got the student price too (just had to show my ID), which was a nice bonus. Jane, who I think is a junior stylist, did my cut and she was great. I showed her some pictures and she did exactly what I asked for. When I said I wanted it a bit shorter, she adjusted it without any fuss. She really listened and did a great job. Walked out feeling super happy with my haircut. Definitely recommend!”
