“Both our tamariki have been at BestStart Tawa, so we've been with the centre for over 7 years now. We absolutely love the teachers and staff who all show so much love and care for the tamariki and the whole whanua! The team do an amazing job, work together as a cohesive unit and are very adaptable. There are great resources for the tamariki and the food that is provided is such good quality and delicious. Everyone is so tamariki focuse, and there is a real emphasis on building relationships with the whole whanua. We've loved our time here and are so fortunate for the relationships built. “Our daughter goes here. We feel that it's a very supportive environment with a high teacher to child ratio where each childs needs and interests are treated individually. The environment (inside and outside) are beautiful and natural. A large villa space converted, with soft colours and a wood fire. Outside has mature trees with shade, lots of birds and a good space to explore. Fully recommend this kindy for any child!”

“The magic of this place is the inclusivity and sense of community that it builds, largely brought on by studio owner Emma and the teachers. As someone who only started pole last year in their 30’s, I initially thought I was “too old” to get into it, but I’ve been happily proven wrong. With the studio’s guidance I was able to learn awesome tricks, moves and spins around the pole in a safe and fun environment. The studio also celebrates people’s uniqueness, and I’ve been given a safe space to bring out my own style to pole dancing, whether that’s being quirky, sassy, or even at times, chaotic. They really promote the idea of having fun in everything you do, which is what keeps me coming back. I’m excited to see what awesome things they can help me learn going forward.”

“An excellent introduction to the seemingly daunting world of sailing. This course doesn't leave you stuck in the classroom all day, watching videos and looking at slideshows! The vast majority of the course is spent out on Wellington Harbour, learning through hands-on interaction with the boats. Yes, it can be a little bit full-on at times and some parts of my body hurt that I didn't know existed, but ultimately it is a rewarding and unique opportunity to gain essential skills in a fascinating sport and leisure activity.”
