Emma is a kind hearted, tough but fair, fun, energetic, chaotic, hypnotic, strong, floaty, amazing person and her studio reflects that. It's empowering, welcoming and a total vibe! The studios soft colours, mood lighting and relaxed feel are balanced out by badass affirmations on the walls, booty popping and dropping classes with the most strangely pleasing encouragement you never knew you needed. There are such a wide range of classes and Emma does such a good job at keeping it interesting and coming up with new things to try. Whether you want a stretch class flexibility, pole fitness, aerial class, this studio IS for you, no matter who you are, this is a judgment free zone that is so so so very welcoming and the instructors and everyone you meet here are insanely awesome. There is something for everyone here. If you're questioning it, do it!

The magic of this place is the inclusivity and sense of community that it builds, largely brought on by studio owner Emma and the teachers. As someone who only started pole last year in their 30’s, I initially thought I was β€œtoo old” to get into it, but I’ve been happily proven wrong. With the studio’s guidance I was able to learn awesome tricks, moves and spins around the pole in a safe and fun environment. The studio also celebrates people’s uniqueness, and I’ve been given a safe space to bring out my own style to pole dancing, whether that’s being quirky, sassy, or even at times, chaotic. They really promote the idea of having fun in everything you do, which is what keeps me coming back. I’m excited to see what awesome things they can help me learn going forward.

Emma is a fantastic stretch instructor! Her knowledge of anatomy is impressive, and she explains different stretches in a way that makes them easy to understand. I especially appreciate how she incorporates humor to keep the class fun and engaging. After attending her classes for a few weeks, I've noticed a significant improvement in my flexibility. If you're looking for a way to improve your range of motion and have some laughs while doing it, definitely check out Emma's class!

A phenomenally supportive and warm environment to learn the aerial arts! I adore learning pole from the tutors. Head Tutor and Studio Owner Emma is fantastically particular about technique so you know you’re learning correct form! It’s perfect for me and my science brain.

Empire is a fantastic studio! Emma goes above and beyond for her students and community, like creating custom bauble gifts for everyone over Christmas and giving out vouchers to help local businesses during Covid. The teachers are super talented and able to cater to all abilities and interests, from pure dance through to pure strength classes, and everything in between. I'm not big into dance, and only really like pole for the skill/strength; V's level 1 classes were a life-safer initially for making me feel like I belong, Andie's level 2 classes are now frequently the highlight of my week, and all of Emma's classes have helped me branch out.

Amazing studio! Thanks to Emma I am super fit and have met so many wonderful people. There are so many on- and off-pole classes, and the studio goes above and beyond to keep the place incredibly clean - well above standard covid requirements! The beginners classes genuinely mean beginners so don't be afraid to give them a try!
