The basil aioli is absolutely wonderful! It's the little things. Very comfortable environment too. Loved the place. Can't wait to come back next time I'm in the area!”

Their menu offers a variety of meals that cater to all dietary requirements, and I love that they keep it fresh and seasonal with exciting new options. The design of the shop captures a lovely New York vibe that's unique to Wellington, making each visit a special experience. However, I must address a recent review that was posted under my name. Unfortunately, my account was hacked, and that review was entirely untrue. I sincerely apologize for any confusion it may have caused. Machete Coffee Shop is a place I truly admire, and I can assure you that my experiences there have been nothing but positive. Thank you for all that you do, and I look forward to my next visit!”

“Consistently the best Coffee I can find in the CBD. Service is top tier. Food is really good. Atmosphere is great, it’s busy, bustling, and they have an on to it team, who always make you feel welcome. But the star of the show is absolutely the coffee. Recommend.”

“We dropped in for a quick takeaway and as usual it was pretty busy on a Sunday afternoon. As we waited for our takeaways, a lovely staff handed us a glass of water which is an awesome gesture. We have dined in several times and we never had any negative feedback to provide. Lots on the menu to choose as well as your usual pastries and sweet desserts. Our favourite is the seafood casserole! Very rich and if given the chance, I would lick the bowl! Parking can be tricky as there are only a few on the street and several others by the side. Best to book if you do visit on the weekend or just wait as the turnover is pretty quick.”

“We came here today for lunch. Due to a very recent accident I’m temporarily wheelchair bound and very nervous accessing new venues. When we arrived today, the owner/manager calmly helped my daughter with the wheelchair and went out of his way to make me feel welcome and safe. Honestly, can’t thank him and the rest of the staff for their kindness. As for the food- delicious! Highly recommended”

The staff went above and beyond and made us feel right at home. A special shout out to Piney who served us. She was the most beautiful, friendly and bubbly young lady. A real credit to Caffiend Cafe. “Great first visit to Revive! Had the smoked fish kedgeree and was thoroughly impressed. They were very generous with the amount of fish, the egg was runny and perfectly poached and the rice was creamy and lightly spiced. Great balance of textures and flavours- the squeeze of lemon really pulled everything together! Staff were friendly and efficient even though we went during a very busy time. Clearly very good at what they do. Great vibe inside- very modern and clean. They had the doors open so good temperature. Definitely visit if you are considering it!”

“Super cool space that you would never know existed above the storefront. We ate too quickly to take photos, but had the Thai beef salad, big breakfast, and the standard two egg plate. My son had a salted caramel milkshake that he said was wonderful. They have a full soda bar and coffee bar along with amazing pastries. It’s a little loud inside. The view is absolutely amazing even on this cloudy day. This is a fun place to eat with great food!”

“Went here for the first time recently and we’ll definitely be back soon. My wife got the cheeseburger and I had the Beyond Meat burger and both were excellent along with the curly fries. The bagels looked great so will try these next time. Great outlook over the harbour and I love the bean bags for sitting in the sun or the shade of the trees.”

“Been coming here for over 10 years. It's a small, family-run cafe that serves fresh, delicious, home-made food. It has a unique vibe all of its own that's homely and unassuming, all in a good, chilled out way. It's by far the best choice of the cafes over this side of Lyall Bay, balancing value and taste perfectly.”

“Love this place :) Casual beachside setting with delicious coffee and food. They mainly serve scones, cakes, and sandwiches. Perfect for enjoying some sunshine, ocean breeze, and a laid-back vibe. Best on sunny days, though it can get chilly and there are no outdoor heaters so bring a layer. The cheese scones are pretty good too, with a nice crunch on the outside but the matcha latte is so good!”
