  1. Hello, Sam. ★★★★★

Stopped by this lovely café in Lyall Bay after a quick visit to Bunnings. The lady who served me was an elderly woman—so kind and gentle. When my coffee was ready, she softly patted my back to let me know, just in case I got startled. I did jump a little, but then I felt something warm that stayed with me for the rest of the day. We rush through life, always busy and calculating, and sometimes forget how healing a small gesture of care can be. Thank you for reminding me of that simple kindness.

Been coming here for over 10 years. It's a small, family-run cafe that serves fresh, delicious, home-made food. It has a unique vibe all of its own that's homely and unassuming, all in a good, chilled out way. It's by far the best choice of the cafes over this side of Lyall Bay, balancing value and taste perfectly.

Best of the best ... get my weekly brekkie intake from this cafe. best value, best service and best food. I get the joy of trying different places around Wellington, and this is my go to. My wife goes for the bubble and squeak whilst I do the fried eggs bacon and toast. Brilliant.

Food was soo nice and big portions. Staff were super friendly and very attentive and careful about my nut allergy. No queue and plenty of seating at 2pm on a Saturday.

Really can’t understand where this cafe got such high reviews. To be honest, we left feeling very undervalued and a yuck taste in our mouths. Not a good pie filling, thick shake was warm and barely a milk shake. Sorry not good.

I always appreciate somewhere that offers some different options than your stock standard brunch choices, so I had to leap at the chance to try the Centennial Coffee House’s Lebanese eggs. The halloumi, tomato and sumac all worked exceptionally well together. If this is an indication of the other items on the menu I’ll definitely be back for more.

Good food which seemed to fit the theme. A shame they didn't have everything on the menu available to order.
