“Been here a few times with my fiance now, the place is so chill and the staff are friendly and chatty. Food is dynamite!!! And the bottomless brunch is such good value for money. My fiance and I combined had 4x pints of lager, a beef nachos, tacos, chicken bites & jalapeño poppers... All for under $100 Leaving with a very full tummy and happy with our chill night every time!”
“Incredible vegan food; got a salmon bagel which was so good; so many options so reasonably priced. Cute atmosphere too”
“What a fabulous place to meet up with friends. Set on the edge of Coronation park, it's away from the hustle and bustle, but close to the main shopping street, and Pilot bay. The treats on offer are devine, but my favorite is the cheesy savory scone. (They do celebration cakes too) Excellent coffee and the lemon ginger tea is delicious. The staff are awesome and look after our sizable group with ease, and nothing is too much trouble.”

“Absolutely adore this hidden gem and try to pop over from Whakatāne every few months. It's a treasure trove of secondhand books, spanking all genres. The owner has incredible knowledge and can help you find anything. Make sure you take an antihistamine (dusty for obvious reasons) and have a coffee before you arrive, as once you're here, you could easily spend hours perusing the shelves.”
At Meltingpot Papamoa, the menu stays Japanese‑leaning with tidy execution. Broths and noodles keep good heat and snap. The team keeps things friendly and organised. Packaging keeps things in good shape to go.
“Had a biscoff waffle and pumpkin pie latte. My son had apple cinnamon muffin. Lovely!!”
“The food was fantastic, I had the ribs with creamy mash and a fresh salad. My daughter had the large seafood chowder with bread and butter. My ribs were OMG delicious the sauce was special nothing I could identify but were sweet and tasty hugging on to super soft gelatinous ribs, my mouths watering just remembering. The staff were friendly and efficient and the chefs were knowledgeable and kind too so if you are hungry and want a delicious and sizeable meal this is the place to visit. My only poor comment would be the bathrooms they need revamping and new facilities would be perfect. Was an awesome drive to KatiKati and the Talisman bar completed our trip nicely.”
“It’s a really nice place, whether for a long or short stay ;) There is all you need (hot shower, great kitchen…) and Sandy is so kind and generous. Go for it !!”
“Loved the presentation of food, quick service and great prices. Also so accomodating with a guest that couldn’t eat dairy or gluten so you created a one off dish for her. That was above and beyond. Thank you for a great time.”
“The most magnificent little espresso bar right in the heart of Cherrywood. This place does the most amazing coffee and home-made food. The owners Perry and Preet Fightful and the Customer Service is exceptional. They put so much love and effort into everything they do. Would very highly recommend!”
“This place has such a good vibe. The owner and staff are so warm and friendly and the food is sensational. I had the chilli scrambled eggs today and it was an AMAZING dish. Coffee always epic. A fave spot for sure.”
