“My partner went to this shop to pick up sandwiches for our holiday brunch, and it turned out to be such a unique place. It reminded me of my previous trip to Japan, with its cute interior design and cozy atmosphere bringing back fond memories. We ordered a Pork Katsu sandwich and a Daishi Eggplant and Mushroom sandwich. The katsu was impressively large and, although it cost around $15, the size was more than satisfying. It tasted great too. The eggplant sandwich was also delicious. I never imagined eggplant would pair so well with sandwich bread, but it was a fantastic idea. This place truly stands out, and I highly recommend it.”

“The food was DELISH! Loved the different little tasters we got in our bento box’s, all so succulent and divine. We always stay at hotel 115 and I’ve never been here before, It’s good to know it’s nice and close and I’ll definitely be back next time I’m in Christchurch for work. Such a cute little place and the staff are lovely. The only thing id recommend, is they need The lights to be a little softer while dining, would make it a different vibe again if they were dimmed. But that’s isn’t a deal breaker of course haha!”

The set menus come with a good variety of starters and mains, and everyone loved what was offered. The restaurant is also split into three dinning areas, so you have a choice of sitting outside or in a more cosy booth. Very popular restaurant, so strongly recommend booking ahead to secure a table.”

“I absolutely love the chicken Pho here. This is my go to place for that yummy soup. The summer rolls are cheap and look great but they don't have coriander in them so I don't get them. The vietnamese springs rolls are also one of my favourites but I haven't found a good one yet in Hamilton.”

Seafood was super fresh, especially the prawns and calamari – cooked just right. Only downside was the sauce on a couple of dishes – felt a bit heavy and overpowered the natural flavours. Would’ve been perfect with just a lighter touch. Still, a great place to relax with a drink and enjoy the view. Worth a visit, especially if you’re into bold flavours and casual coastal dining.”
