The food was amazing! I wanted to know if anything on the menu could be made vegan, the first lady i spoke to wasnβt sure but the guy knew exactly what could be made vegan for me. I ordered the salad bowl with eggplant and mushrooms. It came out so fresh and crispy. Super delicious. There was sauce given but i forgot to include it in the photo.

Cute store with Japanese knickknacks all around. Good matcha lattes. The sandos were so good before but the quality has gone down and it doesnβt taste the same :( photo 1 & 2 is from most recent visit and 3 & 4 was from last year.

My partner went to this shop to pick up sandwiches for our holiday brunch, and it turned out to be such a unique place. It reminded me of my previous trip to Japan, with its cute interior design and cozy atmosphere bringing back fond memories. We ordered a Pork Katsu sandwich and a Daishi Eggplant and Mushroom sandwich. The katsu was impressively large and, although it cost around $15, the size was more than satisfying. It tasted great too. The eggplant sandwich was also delicious. I never imagined eggplant would pair so well with sandwich bread, but it was a fantastic idea. This place truly stands out, and I highly recommend it.

Today, we visited the newly discovered Japanese sando place in Takapuna! The interior ambiance was minimalistic and refreshing. Ordering directly from the machine was very convenient. A sando costs around $14.5 to $15.5. We tried the fried chicken sando and the fried pork cutlet sando. The fried chicken sando had a crispy and juicy chicken, and the yuzu sauce added a fresh twist that reminded us of our time in Japan. It also had light cabbage, which made it less greasy. The fried pork cutlet sando had a crispy outer layer, tender inside, complemented by a rich koji sauce and a hint of wasabi flavor. Both sandwiches were served on soft and tender bread, accompanied by edamame and fried lotus root slices. Considering the price of around $15 in Takapuna, it's truly a fantastic meal. Highly recommended to everyone!

A small cafe in the vibrant Takapuna, went there to buy takeaway on a Saturday morning and it is super busy. There are a few tables for you to dine in, but most people take out. The wait time was surprisingly short. They make all the sandwiches fresh to order. Authentic Japanese style sandwiches, tasty, juicy and crunchy. Will definitely visit again.

EGGPLANT SANDO - A must have dish here. The eggplant was deep fried and then seasoned with a sweet soy flavour. The bread was super soft and the flavours were perfect. The key to this place's fresh delicious flavour is that they make your sando to order, unlike other places that tend to make it in advance and then serve as customers come in. Easy to use kiosk ordering system. Cute decor with the theme of the cute wee dog around the place. I will be back!

Love this place and I think it has got even better. You can now order on a screen at the counter. Our faves are the classic egg sando and prawn tempura sando. Coffee is also excellent. Our son likes the kids meals as well as the rice boxes. Go! You wonβt be disappointed!!
