We stopped by just before they closed. The lovely staff, took our order. Delicious pizza. I only took one photo of the chicken pizza. We will visit again soon. Highly recommended, yummy pizza.
While visiting Devonport I was wanting pizza so we came to Calimero’s due to the good reviews. The staff were very kind and attentive and the shop itself is great. We ordered the Hawaiian. Everything about the the pizza was what it should be (it was piping hot, the crust was nice and crunchy like we asked for, and the toppings were fresh), however the base tomato sauce was a bit bland and there wasn’t as much sauce as I would like. I still enjoyed the pizza but wished it had a bit more flavour. I look forward to coming back to Devonport to try it again, but this first time was a bit of a let down.
I recently grabbed a pepperoni pizza and a milkshake from Calimero Pizza in Devonport, and it was fantastic. The pizza was loaded with pepperoni and cheese on a great crust—it was clear they don't skimp on toppings. And the milkshake was a perfect, creamy companion. The staff were friendly, and it was a great experience from start to finish. I'll definitely be back and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for great pizza and a good time.
Wanted pizza and never had been here before and glad we did. Ordered a half half margarita and New Yorker pizza. Seasoning and sauce is flavourful. Not too salty. Could do with more base sauce as it was a little dry but could easily fix with extra sauce option. The dietary options of cheese and gluten free bases is better than I expected. Vegan cheese options. I liked the multiple options of flavours which covered traditional and gourmet flavours. Didn’t get a milkshake but I will next time I get a pizza there.
Absolutely fantastic pizza at an affordable price. The staff are helpful and friendly and the overall experience was great! Definitely will be coming back.
Best Brazilian pizza around! Looking forward to trying other flavours but managed to get through three pizzas and a sweet dessert pizza for the three of us with comments about returning the next day!
Classic style pizzas with a few interesting twists. This is definitely not your trendy "three tiny specks of topping on a burnt base" type of place, there are generous amounts of ingredients and plenty of cheese all on a crispy base.
It's pricey. But for real pizza lovers is a treat. Great options to choose. I have scourged NZ for a decent portuguesa and they delivered. The catupiri is really good (might not be the real deal, but really close. Lots of people forget that catupiri even in Brazil changes from region to region) Service is top quality and staff are super nice. Even offering secret menu option if called in advance. Milkshake are creamy and flavourful. Only bad think it's the location, davenport traffic is a pain, but since I see so many people complaining about the price, they might be right to keep it there.
Not the best pizza in town but quite nice. $25 for a pizza sounds a lot though. Nice staff too.
