“Surprisingly authentic Chinese restaurant in the middle of Auckland CBD. The food is well prepared. It is apparent that they actually take the time to marinate the food for an adequate amount of time using the right seasoning before cooking, which yields an authentic and intense flavor. This is not the typical Chinese restaurant which just dump salty sauce on bland meat. This place is legit! Service was quick and friendly, makes one feel like going home for dinner. All good. I went there twice in three days and consistently failed to take pictures of the food before eating because it was just too yummy.”

“We went to The Taste of China for dinner with friends, and the food was the best I have ever had. I had the Braised Beef Brisket with Potatoes and Rice that came with complimentary chicken soup. The beef was so delicious, soft, and fatty, which made it super flavorful. The potatoes were delicious as well, and I will definitely be coming back for more. The only thing I will say is that although I ordered at the same time as my friend and had a very similar dish in terms of ingredients and size, mine still arrived more than 15 minutes after theirs did, which was slightly annoying as we were pressed for time. The meal I chose was $21, which is more than I would normally spend, but I got so much meat that it felt like it was really worth the price. So other than the long wait for food, this is a great place and I now have a new favorite meal!”

“I can only rate the bar and the meal, as we didn't stay at their accommodation. Although the restaurant was closed, we were able to order at the bar. The bar was very busy, but the staff took our order and brought our drinks promptly to us. We both ordered the chicken parmigiana and were very happy with it. The serving size was more than enough, and we felt the wait really wasn't that long at all, especially considering how busy they were. I'd be happy to return again the next time I'm in Auckland.”

Since I have difficulty with the automated ordering system I wasn't able to make the change I wanted. “This is a regulation McDonald's restaurant serving the usual popular menu items. The location is easily accessible but can be busy due to traffic and bustle on the adjoining Dominion road area. Ample parking is available however there are strict time restrictions in place to avoid the overflow traffic entering here. Self service screens to order food are installed and are very convenient. Drive through is also available here. The staff are nice and welcoming. Order wait times are minimal and overall experience is pleasant here. Highly recommended.”

“Had the Original Vegetarian pizza - so yummy and delicious. Crispy base with delicious fresh tasty tomatoes, mushrooms, onions and capsicum. The Spags Chips were moreish. Crispy, crunchy with enough potatoe-niss to satisfy your hot chips cravings. And a nice cold cider. They had a good beer and wine selection on offer too. Service was prompt and polite.”

“the 5 stars are not about the quality of the food (it is standard mcdonals), its about the setting and staff. the McDonalds in taupo has a nice playground with an aircraft in the middle, the staff is friendly and we got our food quite fast!”
