“I've enjoed the Uxbridge Cafe on several occasions, I find the service and coffee excellent Yesterday however, the owner Jimmy exceeded any expectations I had. Taking a break at lunchtime, my husband decided to join me so I ordered a cappuccino for him before he arrived. By the time he showed up the coffee was cold, so I asked if it could be reheated in the microwave. Without reservation, Jimmy said, "no need for that, I'll make another." I offered to pay but he wouldn't hear if it. Kudos to you...and thanks.”

“Come for the climb, stay for the pies. After a semi-leisurely climb up Mount Te Aroha, my friend and I decided to stop at Kevin's Bakery for a food replen. The exterior seemed unassuming, and we were prepared for a meal pervaded by mediocrity. Upon entry, we were happily greeted by Kevin and his wife as we carefully selected our afternoon meal; she chose a butter chicken pie, I went for the reliable staple of steak and onion. The dappled sunlight splashed across our faces outside, as we cautiously bit into the crust. Dense chunks of meat and gravy filled my mouth, whilst flakes of perfectly formed pastry fell across my lap. I was in pie heaven. Within a few minutes I had consumed this bountiful feast, and returned back into the store for more. 10/10, would purchase multiple pies again.”

“I used to come here a lot when I worked in the area, came back for nostalgia. Still had filling, reasonably priced food. Great milkshakes, good burgers. Full and happy for a reasonable price.”

“Probably the best place to go for an awesome breakfast or even just a coffee. Of course is not cheap as a lunch bar or petrol station but is 10 times better. What I really like of this place is that it even has a drive away, what makes it perfect for rainy days, cold days or even sunny days. I usually like to order a large cappuccino or mocha, can't say which one is better as both of them are made amazingly by its friendly staff :).”

“5 stars purely for the new york brownie alone bc it’s so damn delicious and addictive. it does get a bit loud and the coffee isn’t the best on campus, but it’s the one cafe i always go back to for the cheap toasties and ofc the brownie.”

“They have the regular bubble/iced teas on the menu, but they have a good selection of loose leaf tea for sale as well. I picked up a box of gaba oolong which I've only ever seen on taiwan-based online stores (usually very expensive), very reasonably priced as well.”

“A welcoming café with friendly staff. The food was delicious and my coffee was perfect - yay, a place that didn't turn a flat white into a latte. Enjoyed the food and experience enough to come back again today. I recommend the chia banana bread (traditional banana bread flavour without the heaviness) and the smokey ham sandwiches are delicious.”

“Always great service and great food at reasonable prices. Called in this morning to pick up a Pastrami Beef Bagel, for my 96yr old uncle's lunch since he loves them so! I was dismayed to see none in the cabinet and asked whatever could I do so as not to disappoint him? Apparently they have been very busy and hadn't had time to make any but at the look on my face quickly offered to have two ready for pick up in 15mins. Very much appreciated and end result very happy uncle!”

“Have known about this place for years but never had time to stop in. Well today was different and so glad we did. Welcomed in with a big hello and smiles. Immediately accommodating to our toddler by bringing over a high chair. Food was VERY well priced as well as tasty and well presented, and coffee was excellent too. Really pleased with Go Deli and will surely be going back next time. One observation: you could receive so much more business with a better sandwhich board up on Constellation drive (and get council to cut that bush back as it blocks so much of your view) and a sign similar down by Bunnings. It's a busy area but most people overlook your business as it's tucked in a corner out of view!”

Fresh squeezed OJ and a mean ham and cheese sammie toasted to within an inch of its life, pretty much tasty everything!! Go there!!”

“I ordered from this bakery a while back on uber. They were not very good so I didn't order again until very recently. They have to have new bakers or owners because the food quality has changed dramatically for the better. Classic bakery food done really well for a great price. Has become a new favourite of mine. I always judge a bakery by the quality of their custard slice and this is one of the few that make a real, proper one. Highly recommend.”

“I visited Taste Explosion and had an amazing experience! The owner is very welcoming, the staff are extremely friendly and attentive, and the food… simply excellent! Everything is very well prepared and generously served. Definitely a place worth visiting and coming back to many times.”

“I come here almost every morning. Great food and coffee, nice staff, kind and helpful. Pet friendly. I must say recently this Month an elder man had an episode (seizure, heart attack, I don’t know exactly what it was) and dropped all the tableware. The staff quickly gave him space and supported him. They cleaned it up the place, called the ambulance and the owner/ manager kept the old man’s company talking to him and calming him until the ambulance arrived. It’s not only a business but a great place with incredible human beings.”
