“I’m obsessed omg!! When I say this is hands down, without a doubt, the best salon experience I’ve ever had, I’m underselling it. I went in for a cut, style and a colour. I’ve always been apprehensive going into salons for colour as I’ve always been told in other salons that my hair is too dark and too “Polynesian” to pull it off, but Miss Fox put those worries to rest! The staff were amazing. So welcoming! About 80% of the experience was MADE by them. My cut and style was handled by Karen, with my treatment being handled by Ambryn. Both wonderful women. Then my BLUE balayage was handled by Shayna. Not only can you tell how extremely talented she is at what she does, but omg..she brought my hair dreams to LIFE!! I had to cry when I left the salon I was so amazed. I can finally look how I feel! I won’t be going to another salon after this. By far the best salon experience I’ve ever had.”

“I love everything about the Whitby clinic it starts from the warm greeting when you walk in the door. Then into relaxation room to be served berry tea or water with a wee treat on the side before your treatment My therapist is Catlin she is a wee doll very gentle and kind plus her knowledge about skin is incredible. From the consultation to the treatment, she made me feel so comfortable and answered every single question I had. I have a bit of a needle phobia, and she was incredibly kind and patient throughout the whole process, which made such a big difference. The reception team were also lovely — really friendly and professional — and even called the next day to check in and see how I was doing, which I really appreciated. “I have been coming to Absolution to get tattoos from Emma (Mckie Tattoo) for a couple of years and yesterday went in to get my septum pierced. The studio is so gorgeous in the Arts Centre of Christchurch, the staff are all incredibly knowledgeable and kind. I've always felt so welcome in there! Emma always makes sure placement and size are spot on and is a great yarn. She's also obviously incredibly skilled - her flash are amazing, but I've asked her to do a few photorealism pieces of a cicada and basket fungus and the lines and shading are incredibly detailed. My cicada is a couple years old and looks almost as fresh as when I got it. I also have just the cutest witchy little kitty on my arm that she designed and tattooed that I always get so many compliments on. My septum was done by Eden, who has an incredibly chill but deeply competent vibe - everything was so smooth, he answered all my questions and walked me through what he was doing at every step. This place is committed to BEST practice and it shows. He definitely took every edge off any of my lingering nervousness and I really appreciated it. Thanks Absolution team, I'll defo be back!”

“Me and my best friend got matching Rook ear piercings here and I could not recommend enough! I don’t usually write reviews but I decided I had to. The lady who pierced us was so welcoming and friendly and put us at ease with great conversation. It was extremely professional and she was very knowledgeable making sure she was doing what was best for our unique anatomy, and let us know we can always contact her thoughout the healing process if we had any questions. Could not recommend enough! It was a very easy experience, it was great! Only thing to consider is there isn't the largest array of jewelry to choose from for all piercings, but this isn’t really an issue. Thank you so much!!!”

“I went with a group of friends for piercings and we had Wendy as our piercer. She was super professional and lovely! She allowed all of us to be in the room to watch our friends (there were 5 of us) and she was able to give us lots of advice and share her personal experiences with piercings.
