“The yoga class was A class, Matt is an amazing teacher. The best yoga class I have been to ever. Thankyou so much to the team”
“Highly recommend Tiger House! Very peaceful & relaxing stay, quiet, with an expansive outlook from the kitchen window. The outdoor bath is a great spot & the pool would be awesome in summer. The outdoor fire makes it really cosy & its such a unique spot, feels very foreign! Nice Citta towels & bedding. Host Woody was very accomodating & communicative, left us breakfast provisions & fresh fruit & local coffee, much appreciated. Until next time!”
“I thoroughly enjoyed the stay. The room is very large, warm and very quiet. I was able to work and to rest. The motel is walking distance to the center and to the beach. The bathroom has a large spa bath. I highly recommend this motel”
“We stayed here for business purposes and the room was clean and decent layout in the one bedroom air conditioned unit. Seemed very affordable for what you get. Would happily stay here again.”
“Clean and very nice camp. Love the bush kitchen with pizza oven and recycling a plus!”

“Good location which is quiet despite being on main road. Friendly staff. Very clean, comfortable well appointed rooms. Can recommend and will come again. But keep it to yourself!!”
“The Rotten Apple is the place to be in Hastings. Together with the Common Room the best place! Great atmosphere and nice common area. And the best hostel community Ive ever experienced. So many memories and friends I found here. Definitely my best part in New Zealand so far. If you need an awesome place to stay and work and have the best parties on the weekends, go here!!!!”
“Reading some of these reviews I find really unfair. We had a great stay for 1 week. There were atleast 20 people staying in the hostel at this time and never once did we struggle to find somewhere to cook or chill out in peace. Multiple showers and kitchens. Comments on the clenliness of a hostel is more a reflection on the people staying there than it is the management- it only takes a couple minutes to create a mess. Jason the manager really is a top guy and went out of his way to help me out after an unexpected thing popped up meaning my plans changed, again I find comments criticising him completely out of character and undue. Thanks for having us, would have happily stayed for a couple months to work longer. Jack & Tara”
“Liz is a lovely lady very accommodating. We had a nice stay in Liz on Lowry and good location.”
“Stay here for 3months absolutely love it.”
“We loved our 1960's style motel stay. Super clean room, plenty of space, very comfy beds n pillows, quality linen. Loved the fully equipped kitchen and amenities. Pool was clean and staff really friendly. Parked right outside our room. Shower pressure a bit slow but not a problem. Would stay again if we return from Australia. Thank you”
“Amazing place, great hosts and value for money. Definitely will go back”
“I always have a good experience with BP”
“We stayed at the Apple Inn Motel in Hastings for 2 nights over the Christmas–New Year period while attending a funeral in Hawke’s Bay. With everything booked out and only 1 day to organise our accommodation our options were extremely limited. The only room the Apple Inn had available was a studio, which wouldn't have been our first choice, but we had little alternative. On the positive side, the motel was exceptionally cheap, especially given the time of year. The Wi-Fi was excellent and completely free, which was a pleasant surprise. The lady at reception was absolutely lovely - very friendly, welcoming, and more than happy to help. Don’t be put off by some of the low reviews here. The Apple Inn is an underrated rough diamond that offers outstanding value for money, particularly if you’re looking for something affordable and practical during a busy period.”
