Great location, friendly staff. Basic rooms, clean and tidy. Decent price for what ya get. Would happily stay here again
The room was very clean, nice and simple and perfect for our needs. Great value stay. Location is great (you can smell the sea air, only a block over from the beach). The host was super friendly and showed outstanding service, even allowing us print out a eulogy as we were there at short notice for a family funeral. Thank you Fountain court, I definitely recommend.
I thoroughly enjoyed the stay. The room is very large, warm and very quiet. I was able to work and to rest. The motel is walking distance to the center and to the beach. The bathroom has a large spa bath. I highly recommend this motel
Perfect location, great service from a friendly and happy team. The owners at Fountain Court are halfway through a refurbishment, fresh paint and some new carpet on the ground floor. Our rooms were very clean, the beds and linen was brilliant. The water pressure was brilliant with gas hot water heaters we did not run out. The bathrooms and toilet fixtures are older but functional. Each room had an effective heater which was needed in winter. Small issues like a spa bath with jets not working are things I can over look due to the cleanliness of the unit. There is a guest laundry and they dried and folded it for me, which was much appreciated. The full kitchen had everything we needed. We were there for the first week of the July school holidays, and the road traffic noise was very quiet. I would be happy to return next time we are in Napier.

Fountain court motel is currently being accommodated by winz for beneficiaries due to New Zealands housing crisis, I think it's a real shame that there are solo mums and dads with children staying in studio units, There is no privacy at all for the children especially young girls as there is no bedroom, the lounge area consists of two small single beds, has no oven & no room to move in. People that stay there also have to pay extra to use washing facilities. There are domestic fights between some couples on most nights due to their drinking habits, &drug dealers & gang members seen coming and going all hours of the day and night. I have no doubt in my mind that the families staying there would be struggling to pay for petrol, food, clothing and medicines, a few of the basic necessities people need to survive in everyday life after the government deducts the beneficiaries of rent. I would like to see the housing crisis situation change for the better. This makes me sad.
Had a lovely time with my partner. The spa was nicely set up and cossy. Had an easy to understand set of instructions on how to set it up. Nicely made bed with a fan and heater in the cupboard. couldn't ask for more.
The WORST place I have ever stayed. Overpriced and I have stayed in third world hotels that were better. People in the upstairs room and I could hear every sound they made. And they stayed up all night. When they used the bathroom the sounds were unbearable. Management had to know this before they rented it. The outer walls sounded like it had rats in it. No phone in the room to call management. I expressed my displeasure with the room and all I got was "I am sorry.". I am completely exhausted and as you can tell upset. Please do this city a favor and DO NOT USE this place ever. I plan on telling my credit card company not to pay this bill. Again, management had to know about the noise problems and has elected to do nothing about it please vote with your dollars and stay elsewhere.
The room was clean, had enough to make do. Receptionist was lovely. But, the 2 day we booked we only spent 1 as they put myself my partner my parents and my 2 an 10 year old in the front room myself my partner and my kids got no sleep at all, all night cars raced by an were so load both my kids couldn't sleep, there gutters were so blocked that they dripped from top roof on to my sky light so all night was that horrible drip noise very load.. racing cars a jet plane sounding fridge and a extremely selfish guest racing in an out all night. When we asked for some help the next morning we were told basically it wasnt there problem and we could go else where.. I was pretty annoyed to be fair at 500 for 2 days I expected a little more customer care. I will never go there again.
