“If you’re ever in Hamilton, I absolutely suggest giving Dr Donburi a try. It’s a fantastic spot that won’t break the bank, with hearty portions and incredible flavors. We tried Teriyaki chicken and Chicken Katsu Donburi. The free-flowing miso soup is a great bonus, and the staff are genuinely welcoming, making the whole dining experience even better. Honestly, it checks all the boxes!”

The set menus come with a good variety of starters and mains, and everyone loved what was offered. The restaurant is also split into three dinning areas, so you have a choice of sitting outside or in a more cosy booth. “Lookout Bar has a great vibe – awesome views, friendly staff, and solid food. The smoked pizza was seriously good – crispy base, great flavour, and that smoky touch really makes it stand out. Seafood was super fresh, especially the prawns and calamari – cooked just right. Only downside was the sauce on a couple of dishes – felt a bit heavy and overpowered the natural flavours. Would’ve been perfect with just a lighter touch. Still, a great place to relax with a drink and enjoy the view. Worth a visit, especially if you’re into bold flavours and casual coastal dining.”

“The kebabs were fresh, flavourful, and generously filled. The man that served us was friendly and service was very quick. Good portion sizes (photo was taken after eating majority already) and decent prices. Will definitely be back again if we pass through.”

“I absolutely love the chicken Pho here. This is my go to place for that yummy soup. The summer rolls are cheap and look great but they don't have coriander in them so I don't get them. The vietnamese springs rolls are also one of my favourites but I haven't found a good one yet in Hamilton.”

“As I walked past, I noticed my 2 mates eating in here. I pulled up and went in. Bar had a nice friendly atmosphere and a nice layout with an authentic feel. I order the pork belly hotpot and it was top both. Was so hot(heat) that I felt it had been in a nuclear reactor for a short time but once it had cooled down I could enjoy the full flavours of the dish. The pork belly was delicious and the soup was great too. Plenty of noodles and other well cooked veg. 100% will eat here again. Extremely well priced dishes for the portion sizes. . “First visit in this Japanese restaurant in the lunch time. We arrived early and few customers were already inside. This is one of the few authentic Japanese cuisine restaurants in town. As you enter, it seems like you are in Japan, great decorations, long bar featuring traditional customs. Food came quickly, we ordered some chicken karage for our chidren, my wife ordered salmon with salad and me lamen. All tasted fantastically nice, soft rice and well seasoned. Owners are Japanese, that explains much of the quality and precision. Looking for another good experience in the future.”
