   A real gem. As good I remember from 20 years ago, when we used to live in Hamilton. Delicious, freshly made food, good sized portions and very reasonable price. Clean and tidy cafe. Loved the fresh, crispy salad, good quality rice and complimentary miso soup. Very nice, not too salty, just right flavour. Service was fast and friendly from the busy team. My kids really liked their meals as well. Dr Donburi was the highlight of our day trip from Auckland, to primarily see the Classics car Museum.

   Blown away by the quality of a cheap n cheerful on Garden Place. They have options for under $10, and most standard meals are $16. For that, you get a lot of food, and it's really really good. I got a double portion for $23, but the single would have been plenty, and I eat a lot. You can tell from the presentation how much care is put in. I hope more people start coming here. It's my new favorite lunch spot in the CBD!

   If you’re ever in Hamilton, I absolutely suggest giving Dr Donburi a try. It’s a fantastic spot that won’t break the bank, with hearty portions and incredible flavors. We tried Teriyaki chicken and Chicken Katsu Donburi. The free-flowing miso soup is a great bonus, and the staff are genuinely welcoming, making the whole dining experience even better. Honestly, it checks all the boxes!

   A slight wait for you food but it's worth it. I ordered the chicken katsu that came with rice and a salad it was about $15 but I think I accidentally ordered at large meal. The katsu was crispy with a tasty curry/gravy across it. The rice was cooked perfectly and the salad was well balanced. The presentation was also restaurant standard unfortunately I got alittle carried away and didn't get a photo till after I'd had afew bites. This is definitely the place to go if you want a good katsu in Hamilton. I look forward to trying the pork katsu on my next visit.

   Went there twice and wish I have tried even before. Awesome food, welcoming and warmth atmosphere. It closes at 8, giving us enough time to enjoy after the library closes. I particularly loved the prawns and pork tonkatsu, crunch and yummy to the extreme. Will come back again in a few weeks. 감사해요!

   This place has great quality food. I've just eaten a very fresh and well presented meal. The outside of the shop doesn't do it justice. Normally I would have walked past it but today for some reason I opened the door and was pleasantly surprised. While I have been sitting here there has been a steady stream of people who seem to be regulars coming in and ordering takeaway meals. Dont be put off by the look of the place. Push through the door and give it a go.
