“First visit in this Japanese restaurant in the lunch time. We arrived early and few customers were already inside. This is one of the few authentic Japanese cuisine restaurants in town. As you enter, it seems like you are in Japan, great decorations, long bar featuring traditional customs. Food came quickly, we ordered some chicken karage for our chidren, my wife ordered salmon with salad and me lamen. All tasted fantastically nice, soft rice and well seasoned. Owners are Japanese, that explains much of the quality and precision. Looking for another good experience in the future.”

“A great find, This unassuming little place located near The Wayward Pigeon does an amazing selection of dishes. We loved their take on yum cha share plates. So nice to be able to choose from a great selection of small plates that suit all tastes and appetites. Our group of 6 chose 2 plates each to share. Cost per head very reasonable and the staff were so friendly and accommodating. Highly recommend the beans dish, great for sharing and delicious. We will all be returning to try our new favourites and sample other items from their great menu.”

“Birdsong, natural beauty, an easy path, this is a fabulous walk. Perfect bike ride for 5 year olds. Dogs allowed, on leads. Surprises provided by creative maimai and artistic fairy houses. Picnic areas by the main car park and rest seats around the lake, allow us to soak in the views. Loved it.”

“Might have already posted a review, apologies if I have. It's unlikely to be much different if I did though. I've been going to Curry King for longer than the current owners have been there, longer than the current name... at least sixteen years. Occasionally as much as twice a month, but more usually probably about once every three months or so. If I ever win lotto it'd be a lot more though! I can still honestly say it's my favourite Indian restaurant in Hamilton, and also that they have NEVER disappointed us. At WORST, we've tried a new dish that sounded great, and tasted pretty good, but turned out not to be quite what we felt like having after all. So more of 'an us problem' for sure. I now can't bring myself to eat Indian at a mall foodcourt because I know it'll only disappoint me after knowing Curry King quality. Guaranteed to make me hungry if I think about it for too long. Like now, dammit.”

“My experience with the whole department from receptionists, nurses and doctors was very prompt, courteous and well mannered having suffered from a couple of asthma attacks recently. That they rushed me through while people already had appointments and the waiting room was full. “The best Chinese restaurant in Hamilton! Nice spicy food very delicious. The only day I don’t come to eat is Tuesday. Only because they are closed on Tuesday lol! It’s not like Sichuan food which is just spicy, the food of Xiang style is more focused on flavor and taste. Highly recommend!”
