I could not get an appointment with my usual GP so went to Tui who were amazing. They triaged me and when they realised it was serious, arrange an ambulance to transfer me to hospital. I was well looked after and will be forever grateful for their help.
My experience with the whole department from receptionists, nurses and doctors was very prompt, courteous and well mannered having suffered from a couple of asthma attacks recently. That they rushed me through while people already had appointments and the waiting room was full. So thank you very much for your help and finally am now using the correct medication and pumps for my asthma
Fronting up to reception seemed like who was going to talk first from either 3. I noticed other incoming patients doing a simular side to side waltz... Once noticed and greeted, the process was good. The doctor is professional, to the point, asked relevant questions, gave sound advice. Did seem a little rushed though.
I have had numerous appointments at Tui Medical over the years plus I've gone in for an emergency. The doctor who I see most times (Dr Lynda Priest) is an asset to the practice. Dr Lynda is caring and thorough and always make me feel confident that she has my best interests and health as her main concern on every visit. I know doctors are overworked but I have never felt rushed during my consultations. The office staff have always been helpful and caring.
Absolutely appalling service. My 9 month old was having a severe allergic reaction, I had an email from PracticePlus stating she was having breathing difficulties. It outlined the exactly what was going on and what tests needed to be done. They made me wait in line despite a giant sign saying breathing difficulties take priority. They were quick to take my money but it wasn’t until waiting nearly an hour that I was told they couldn’t do the tests. Why not read the email clearly and do your job before taking money on tests you said you couldn’t do? The fact I was told I should’ve gone to Anglesea or hospital was just rude and a waste of my time and money. Any health service that makes a 9mo with breathing difficulties wait in line for 30mins, shouldn’t be in the job
Dr Sarah was awesome. No rushing, calm and very caring. The reception team seemed lovely. So happy I joined.
I’ve never had a problem with tui medical, the doctors and nurses have all been good! they do, like most GPs, have long waits for appointments at times but if you’re willing and able to travel to the other clinics and see another doctor, it isn’t quite as long. but about my most recent visit, I had a small lump removed from my bottom eyelid by Dr Casey, and it had very minimal bruising and healing has been almost perfect! I was very nervous considering it was on my face but he did an awesome job.
Nurses and doctors at this clinic really don’t deserve this poor rating, as my general dealings with them has been great. What let’s this practice down is the absolute carelessness and pathetic attitude of the reception staff. If you visit Tui Medical Rototuna, be very cautious about your communication and wait times, as they can be very unsympathetic and have poor customer facing skills to deal with even the basics of their job. To the people who made my wife’s visit a nightmare, you should be ashamed and do better.
I visited urgent care last night, Dr. Sanjay was very caring and supportive, the treatment he offered drastically managed my symptoms. For the medication, he explained why, how and what for. He was so easy to talk to and well listened. I also got a prompt attention from the receptionist. The whole team was great with excellent service. Thank you
