“Such a unique place at the heart of Hamilton! I initially thought this would like any other botanical gardens but I was wrong. The concept of having different themed gardens (Japanese, Italian, Chinese, Indian) was quite refreshing to see and that made the whole experience unique and engaging throughout the visit. Highly recommend if you’re looking to take professional photos as the garden has a lot of color and diverse options.”

“Just ate at the cafe. Wood fired pizza was excellent, enjoyed a Greek Salad. A nice place to spend the evening, and have a drink after a day of hiking. A beautiful waterfall at the bottom of the drive. Would definitely pop round again!”

“A wonderful experience at my first Rugby Game watching Gallagher Chiefs, and Western Aust. Fantastic atmosphere, really friendly atmosphere and staff were lovely. Lots of free items handed out - beanies, chair cushions, flags, tshirts, footballs for the Chief's team. Great variety of food/drink stalls at good prices. It was a Star wars theme light show for May the 4th (force). Was a great fun night. Loved it.”

It’s a well-maintained, peaceful park with wide open lawns perfect for picnics, casual sports, or relaxing with a book. On Saturdays, it comes alive with the farmers' market, bringing together locals and visitors with fresh produce, crafts, and delicious food. The surrounding trees create a beautiful canopy in warmer months, offering shade and a picturesque setting. In winter, the park takes on a different charm—most of the trees shed their leaves, leaving a quiet, open view of the branches and sky. It can feel bare, but there's a certain beauty in that simplicity. The old shed and cricket club add a historic touch, and the public toilets are clean and convenient. While there’s no playground, it remains a favourite spot for families and gatherings. A true gem in the heart of Cambridge.”

“This playground is superb, fairly recently refurbished, although some of the equipment is in need of repair, the flying fox used to be a fun double, but looks like it's been decommissioned. There is an in ground bouncy pad that's been boarded up. Still plenty to do though, water play and slides. There is a pump track around the playground, and a full size BMX track next door. There are also some walking tracks around the lake if you feel like a stroll. Watch out for little kids gravitating towards the water. With the water backdrop it's the most picturesque playground in hamilton for sure! We saw a sign to some toilets behind the netball courts, but unsure if they are open to the public.”

“Walk my dog here most days, awesome area for daily exercise, only thing that ruins it, are people ripping up the grass on dirtbikes.”

“The upgrades to this facility are fantastic. It's clean, the animals are well cared for and happy, and the staff are knowledgeable and friendly. The map is well laid out with plenty of play areas sprinkled throughout, as well as restrooms and snack opportunities. Disability access is decent, but there are some steep areas. The cafe is good, with a smaller outlet next to the playground. There is a decent selection of gluten and dairy free snacks, as well as alternative milks for surprisingly good coffee.”

It's a perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of city life, offering a tranquil setting to unwind and enjoy the beauty of Hamilton. Highly recommend!”
