“Victoria Square Park in Cambridge is a lovely central green space that reflects the charm of the town. It’s a well-maintained, peaceful park with wide open lawns perfect for picnics, casual sports, or relaxing with a book. On Saturdays, it comes alive with the farmers' market, bringing together locals and visitors with fresh produce, crafts, and delicious food. The surrounding trees create a beautiful canopy in warmer months, offering shade and a picturesque setting. In winter, the park takes on a different charm—most of the trees shed their leaves, leaving a quiet, open view of the branches and sky. It can feel bare, but there's a certain beauty in that simplicity. The old shed and cricket club add a historic touch, and the public toilets are clean and convenient. While there’s no playground, it remains a favourite spot for families and gatherings. A true gem in the heart of Cambridge.”
“The Tudor Garden has a lot going on with its statues, poles and buildings. The garden itself is also a work of art.”
“Great smooth and wide paths, ideal for skating and scooter Large unmowed areas full of beautiful wildflowers, good for biodiversity”
“The upgrades to this facility are fantastic. It's clean, the animals are well cared for and happy, and the staff are knowledgeable and friendly. The map is well laid out with plenty of play areas sprinkled throughout, as well as restrooms and snack opportunities. Disability access is decent, but there are some steep areas. The cafe is good, with a smaller outlet next to the playground. There is a decent selection of gluten and dairy free snacks, as well as alternative milks for surprisingly good coffee.”
“Very nice place for family and kids to visit, plenty of room and activities for the kids. Bbq area to cook food. Clean restrooms with plenty of stalls so there are no lines. A lovely view of the lake to be enjoyed by all”
“We were invited to the Special Children's Christmas Party. Awesome venue, lots of indoor space, huge kitchen, plenty of toilets. Kids lived it!”
“Walk my dog here most days, awesome area for daily exercise, only thing that ruins it, are people ripping up the grass on dirtbikes.”
“A very nice Walk along the river , scenic view, easy paveway , good for all ages , not a big park”
“This playground is superb, fairly recently refurbished, although some of the equipment is in need of repair, the flying fox used to be a fun double, but looks like it's been decommissioned. There is an in ground bouncy pad that's been boarded up. Still plenty to do though, water play and slides. There is a pump track around the playground, and a full size BMX track next door. There are also some walking tracks around the lake if you feel like a stroll. Watch out for little kids gravitating towards the water. With the water backdrop it's the most picturesque playground in hamilton for sure! We saw a sign to some toilets behind the netball courts, but unsure if they are open to the public.”
“It was a wonderful experience on the occasion of Matiarki day.lots if fun,a small train ride, cultural deference ,and food is also so delicious.”
“Hayes Paddock is a delightful spot in Hamilton that perfectly balances natural beauty with a touch of local history. The park is beautifully maintained, offering a peaceful retreat with plenty of green space to relax, play, or have a picnic. The walk along the Waikato River is particularly scenic, and the views are simply stunning, especially during sunrise or sunset. What I love most about Hayes Paddock is the sense of community it fosters. The area feels safe and welcoming, with friendly locals and a charming, laid-back atmosphere. The nearby cafes are fantastic for grabbing a coffee or a bite to eat after a leisurely stroll. Whether you're a local or just visiting, Hayes Paddock is a must-visit. It's a perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of city life, offering a tranquil setting to unwind and enjoy the beauty of Hamilton. Highly recommend!”
“My moko loved this place, made a few friends here. Sadly not with us anymore but his friends remember him.”
“Definitely a great place for your children! My twins have absolutely loved their time here, the outside area is so large for the kids who love being outdoors, inside is set up with different things each day which my girls love. They have built amazing friendships here and the teachers are incredible and so so easy to get along with! 100% recommend to others!”
“Bunnies currently serves as both my workplace and education provider for my son. When I went for my first visit 2 years ago, I was impressed by the size of the learning environment and the welcoming atmosphere. But I knew I wanted to stay after talking with the people there. The staff are friendly, they listen and are supportive of every child and family that walk through their door. It is a place that inspires me everyday as a teacher. I love that I can watch my son grow and develop before my eyes, guided by incredible teachers who have taken the time to know him. Bunnies is a place you've got to see for yourself, to truly appreciate everything that makes it special.”
“A wonderful preschool. Our daughter attended for 2 years before school and she loved it. There is a lot of outdoors time, including a morning walk each day, and time spent with animals and on the farm. The teachers are all wonderful, and there is minimal staff changes which allows the children to be settled and safe. The children have a good routine, while still being allowed free time to explore and be themselves. I would recommend this preschool to anyone wanting independent, confident and kind children, as these are the attributes I believe Newstead Preschool teaches.”
“We love Otorohanga Central Kids. Our son absolutely thrives here and just adores all of the teachers. When searching for child care I viewed a few local centres and this one was by far the one we felt most comfortable at with a large outdoor space for the kids and lots of cool activities! We couldn’t be happier and will definitely be sending our second child here!”
“Alpha Brave is a fantastic box with their expert and friendly coaching staff. The vibe of the gym is supportive and friendly while each coach goes out of her way to make sure you have correct form and support you along the way during the toughest of workouts. It has everything you could possibly want and expect! Highly recommend the box.”
“As soon as my kids walked through the gates they didn't want to come home. My kids have thrived more here then their last childcare. Friendly staff, warm atmosphere, i would happily recommend this kindy to all others looking for childcare in our area.”
“What a lovely place! Both the kids rooms and teachers are amazing. The facilities are awesome for kids! Definitely worth the look.”
“Impressed that we could bring the dogs for a walk, it has benches for those who want to relax and watch the ducks. Beautiful mature trees and tranquil setting with we'll maintained walkways and a magical waterfall next to a long flight of stairs which takes your up to a children's playground and an outdoor Adults gym.”
“What a great place to mingle and meet new people when your not in a good head space.”
“A genuine pleasure to join them for their Christmas extravaganza! Kind words don’t do their hospitality and friendship justice, and I’m so happy I could help put on a great show for the kids. Can’t wait to go back!”
“Active Explorers has been a wonderful second home for our daughter . Due to the pressure of lockdown , transitioning my daughter at the age of 9 months had its difficult moments as a mother but the Kaiako here at Active Explorers were flexible, understanding and supportive through the whole journey. My daughter is nearly 2 and still to this day love sending her here. I love to see her excitement every day , and her affection she shows to both her Kaiako and her peers.”
“Our kids are thriving at Campus Creche. We first started our son in Kowhai when we first moved to Hamilton in 2019 & felt immediately at home. The creche teachers became family & supported us through a really tough transition moving cities. Since then our son has moved through each centre & is almost off to school. Luckily we get to keep being part of the community with our daughter recently starting at Whekī. Other than the wonderful kaiako, we really love the huge outdoor spaces & nature-based play our kids get to experience.”
“I have 2 children attending Educare Tamahere, it has become an extension of our whanau. The staff are very caring and I feel my children’s safety and support is their top priority. I often recommend the centre.”
“This garden is absolutely fabulous. With moving tree limbs and over sized things it’s definitely a step into a world of wonder. The door is very much the big attraction but a few other things looted around the gardens edges that are also over sized makes an equal photo opportunity also”
“Fantastic value for money. Helen is friendly and helpful without being pushy and in your face. I buy quality not trash and have saved 1000's $$$$ here!”
“This daycare is like a diamond in the rough. When we were looking for daycare options we must have googled and visited a dozen different daycares with no luck. Then we just happened to drive pass this little gem and thought "let's visit this one". We're so glad we did. Best daycare of the lot. Our son is learning so much and has such an amazing time. Staff here are incredible and the children are too. 10/10, highly recommend.”
“Our 2 year old has thrived at The Meadows, seeing him happy and running in for a big hug at the end of the day grinning from ear to ear says it all.... The centre provides a safe space, encourages free play for kiddos, has the most amazing team of teachers and let's not fail to mention the incredible outdoor area in both the nursery and the preschool... our experience has been fantastic. Thank you.”
“Love this centre and the staff. My son started attending at 4months old and they have made me feel comfortable since day”
