Our two girls went through NCP from when they were about 2 years old through to starting school. The genuine care and love the Kaiako showed to our girls and us was incredible. The weekly bush excursions, experiences with the animals, and growing, harvesting and cooking food were all highlights for our tamariki. The most amazing Preschool!
I cannot recommend Newstead Country Preschool highly enough. My daughter was fortunate to attend from as early as 8 months old all the way through to 5 years old. Throughout her time there, I have been thoroughly impressed by the exceptional level of care and support provided to both my child and our entire family. What truly sets this preschool apart is their genuine commitment to fostering a nurturing, inclusive community. They offer numerous engaging family involvement opportunities, such as the seasonal celebrations and even a camp night - an experience that not many early childhood centres can provide. The preschool's bush days are a particular highlight, as they allow the children to be inspired to create, explore and stay active within the natural environment. This unique opportunity to play and learn in nature is truly invaluable. Newstead Country Preschool has provided an exceptional early childhood education experience. I feel incredibly grateful to have found such an amazing place for my daughter to learn and grow. I would highly recommend this preschool to any family seeking a nurturing, enriching, and supportive environment for their little ones.
My brothers attended Newstead Country Preschool 20 years ago and it was amazing back then with large outdoor spaces, real grass, animals and warm staff. Newstead is even more amazing now with developed areas to be explored! I couldn't be happier with the decision to send my boy there. So many life experiences were had - beekeeping, making damper on a campfire, overnight camps and spending so much time in the bush are the tip of the iceberg of adventures. Most importantly though, Tracy loves the tamariki and she goes above and beyond to support them and their families. This is also reflected in the teachers who are all highly skilled and compassionate. Newstead provides a balance of structure and freeplay while fostering independence , healthy living and a sense of belonging. We miss it already and will definately drop in for a visit sometime.
Like many other parents have said, NCP is one of the most down to earth, welcoming and ideal space for kids to learn through those formative years. From the animals in the paddock to the eels in the creek and the bush school environment the kids couldn't ask for better tools or teachers which will set them up for later schooling years. Our children loved attending NCP and we will miss Tracy and the team
I cannot recommend this preschool highly enough. Tracy has done an amazing job implementing her vision, where children have the ability to explore and learn in nature. The staff are all excellent - they take the time to get to know your child and align learning with their interests. Both of our daughters have come through the preschool and they both loved it. Tending to the vegetable patch, helping look after the animals and bush walks were their favourite activites.
Newstead Country Preschool has got to be one of the most wholesome and nurturing preschools there is. My children both attended from the age of one, and loved every moment of it. The teachers are fabulous and have become more like family to us. We miss them already. The place is like a second home to the kids and the building is always warm and welcoming, and quite often smells of baking. My kids still talk about their adventures in the bush and on the farm, learning about insects and plants, spending time with animals (the pony rides are always popular), cooking damper over campfires, making magic "potions" with their friends, taking naps in hammocks under the Redwood trees, and so much more. It really is the best place.
Both of my children attended Newstead Country Preschool quite some time ago. The care our children received was exceptional. They were exposed to so many skills we could not offer. Staff are caring and attentive. If you want your child being looked after in an exceptionally safe and caring environment, Newstead Country Preschool is the place I recommend. Staff are looked after and enjoy their work and leadership. Hence the staff turnover is low. Love the place. Love the staff. Love what the preschool offered especially what it offers in terms of outdoor education. Happy mum. My kids are studying now and are well adjusted and positive young adults. Thank you. Thank you....
A wonderful preschool. Our daughter attended for 2 years before school and she loved it. There is a lot of outdoors time, including a morning walk each day, and time spent with animals and on the farm. The teachers are all wonderful, and there is minimal staff changes which allows the children to be settled and safe. The children have a good routine, while still being allowed free time to explore and be themselves. I would recommend this preschool to anyone wanting independent, confident and kind children, as these are the attributes I believe Newstead Preschool teaches.
