“Fair prices and a good range of suits. Daniel is helpful with any questions you have. Very easy to hire and you do have the option to buy as well. These suits are handmade and made very well. We loved the brown wool check suit. We also hired the shirt and tie. I believe you can hire shoes as well if needed. Best place to hire suits for whatever occasion.”

“This is one of my favourite stores in Canterbury to find lovely pieces of clothing and beautiful homewares and gifts. They have constantly changing stock and wonderful helpful staff who go the extra mile to help you find those special pieces. They are great at couriering things if I can’t pay a visit but it is fun to drive out to Rangiora and have lunch in a cafe afterwards with a girlfriend when I have time.”

She wasn’t there to push a sale, only to provide helpful advice and make us feel as good as we should when up the front on a wedding day. The whole process was smooth and stress free. “I cannot recommend Maxine and The Shoe Room enough! I live in Auckland and I emailed about about an in home shoe fitting for a wheelchair bound elderly relative in Christchurch. He also has medical issues with his swollen feet. After liaising about what was required, Maxine had ordered other styles to try, visited, fitted and ensured they were comfortable. She left my relative with information relating to the breaking in of the footwear. Maxine also sent me images of them on him. This has taken a lot of stress off myself and the relative! No normal shoe stores had the specialised requirements for him. THANK YOU Maxine for going over and above the lacklustre personal service that seems to be offered by most businesses these days.”
