Tried everywhere to get shoes to fit me, until we came across The Shoe Room. That was just a miracle for me as we had Tried all over Christchurch, until a friend told us about the Shoe Room. From then on, l had somewhere I knew I could get shoes to FIT me. Wow I thought peace of mind at last!!
Recommend this store to everyone. The staff are amazing and went the extra mile helping me choose shoes for my elderly mother.
I cannot recommend Maxine and The Shoe Room enough! I live in Auckland and I emailed about about an in home shoe fitting for a wheelchair bound elderly relative in Christchurch. He also has medical issues with his swollen feet. After liaising about what was required, Maxine had ordered other styles to try, visited, fitted and ensured they were comfortable. She left my relative with information relating to the breaking in of the footwear. Maxine also sent me images of them on him. This has taken a lot of stress off myself and the relative! No normal shoe stores had the specialised requirements for him. THANK YOU Maxine for going over and above the lacklustre personal service that seems to be offered by most businesses these days.
The service here is excellent! I ordered online and pick up was ready super fast. Really friendly service when i picked up and convenient parking at the rear of the store. I am pleased I have found this store - will definitely order from The Shoe Room again.
The best experience I've ever had shopping for shoes. Friendly, knowledgeable staff who made it very easy to find what I needed. Also the most comfortable pair of shoes I've ever had. Well done team

Thoroughly unhappy with this shop. - Just wanted the sale. Needed to find shoes for a family member who has mobility issues. Found a pair, seemed ok - I was mindful of spending the $$$ (not cheap) and asked if we get home and they are not suitable can I bring them back - was told yes we can help you with this no problem. After trying them on at home and not suitable at all - (they worsened the problem - made the foot drag) so I brought them back. Was told quickly + abruptly they will not take them back - and I did not have the box. The woman who sold them to me said - did I want her to keep the box - which I said yes as I did not need a box, then they tell me they won't take them back without a box! So now I have shoes that noone can wear and $300 out of pocket! Bad customer service - not there to help at all. Unhappy.
