I ordered the Tamil Nadu–style chicken curry with butter naan, and it was absolutely delicious — full of authentic flavor and perfectly cooked. But what truly made my visit special was the kindness and humility of the manager. When I was about to leave, it started raining heavily. Seeing that, he kindly offered to drop me wherever I needed to go. Even when I said I would wait outside, he came again and genuinely insisted on giving me a ride in his car. It’s rare to find such good food paired with such a good-hearted person. The manager’s care and hospitality made me feel truly valued as a guest. I highly recommend Spice Avenue to anyone looking not just for a great meal, but also a warm and memorable experience.”

“Best little cafe in Auckland, we are foodies and struggle to find a good little eatery but have finally found a local little cafe that's absolutely satisfying. As I mentioned to Maria our Maori/island cooks are some of the best , pure love is tasted in the food and it makes me proud to see our indigenous people thriving on the shore. “Aladdin's cave of goodies tucked away behind a rather unassuming exterior. For a relatively small shop the range of spirits in particular puts many larger and better known shops to shame. Small but nice range of quality ports as well. Pricing is competitive. Definitely worth a visit.”

“Lovely atmosphere and staff. We went here for lunch and got two eggs benedicts, hot chocolate and a smoothie. The hollandaise sauce tastes amazing and I was very impressed with the hash brown - the eggs and bacon were also done to perfection. And the presentation was very pretty. “Travelling New Zealand visited this quaint little french bakery. Ordered a croissant and a coffee. It was buttery, flaky with a soft interior and amazing coffee rich and aromatic. Sitting by the window made the experience all the more special. A must visit if you like baked goods and croissants.”
