“If you're planning on hosting any event, I highly recommend Royal Hype! Food tasted amazing and this place is VERY generous with their food. Staff was extremely kind and nice and were always keen to go above and beyond (they always offered to help even though they really.didnt have to). Everyone was so accommodating and it created an amazing atmosphere for my guests. By far the best venue I have ever booked. Everything was easy and smooth, truly a gem for huge celebrations! My party had 70 guests, but could accommodate over 100 guests depending on how you handle the seating plans.”

“I called into this lovely little restaurant for lunch when I was biking around Waiheke I had a pie, and a carrot cake and THE BEST coffee. Very sweet (I mean the cafe not the coffee).”

“My little family love this sushi place. Its the only sushi spot that I can 100% recommend. Compared to other sushi places we have been too this one just hits. They have a variety of different sushi. There's more filling then rice. I love the grilled teriyaki salmon and the grilled spicy prawn ooh to die for. My kids love there teriyaki chicken on rice. Alot of filling and flavour once again. We definitely recommend this sushi place.”

“My partner went to this shop to pick up sandwiches for our holiday brunch, and it turned out to be such a unique place. It reminded me of my previous trip to Japan, with its cute interior design and cozy atmosphere bringing back fond memories. We ordered a Pork Katsu sandwich and a Daishi Eggplant and Mushroom sandwich. The katsu was impressively large and, although it cost around $15, the size was more than satisfying. It tasted great too. The eggplant sandwich was also delicious. I never imagined eggplant would pair so well with sandwich bread, but it was a fantastic idea. This place truly stands out, and I highly recommend it.”

The portions were incredibly generous and I had no trouble demolishimg my own serving which even came with two lamb chops instead of just one- a great bonus if you ask me. “I was looking for lunch on a Saturday afternoon. I don't normally try new restaurants as I'm scared of being disappointed. But I decided to take a chance on this spot and I don't regret it at all. I chose the pork belly on rice and it was beautiful. The pork was juicy. Just the right ratio of fat to meat. The cracking crispy and seasoned to perfection. And the portion size was great for the price point. A little sticky sweet sauce on the side would have taken this meal from great to "God tier status". I'm definatley coming back.”

“This little local is a hidden gem and the menu (new) is what prompted me to leave his review. New offerings which imply Grandy’s is customer first and they revel in seeing joy and engagement from their customers. The 2 new offerings that I tried were the Creamy Miso Udon and Chicken Katsu Sando and they were both full of flavour and taste. The atmosphere is chill and relaxed. “Firstly, this is the nicest & cleanest roast shop I've ever been in! The man and woman serving were super friendly and welcoming. My partner got a pork roll, chicken thigh and crispy but soft on the inside potatoes which were a 10/10. I opted for a small chicken roast meal, and swapped extra veggies for less chicken - which they were more than happy to do! I almost regret it now because the chicken was DELICIOUS. Crispy, juicy and so flavorful. We will definitely be back in the near future.”
