We took our camper here. It was a lovely peaceful place, with some people in residence. It was very clean and well kept. We could see everyone took a bit of pride in keeping the Holiday camp this way. The staff are helpful and friendly
I always stay here when in Te Aroha - the Units are basic but comfy and clean and the park has all the facilities needed. The prices are reasonable.
Stayed here fir a couple of night's a pity I could not stay longer. A nice tidy camp with great staff a hot pool swimming pool and natural hot water plunge pool.. newy painted redecorated amenities the camp is tidy with a real.good feeling about it a great vibe some would say I will.ne back soon for sure
We were very impressed with the facilities at Te Aroha campground. We stayed in a campervan on a non powered site. Appreciated the oak trees and the shade they provided on a hot summers day. The pool was fantastic, amazing views out to the mountain. We appreciated the hot spring/mineral hot tub after climbing up mt Te Aroha. Cannot fault this place, if you are looking for great value, great facilities look no further.
Only stayed overnight. Stayed in a cottage which was a little smaller than I expected. It didn't have a chair so I had to sit on the bed which wasn't a comfy option (picture on website showed a small single chair). It was clean and tidy so that was a positive. I did feel like I was staying at an Emergency housing campsite as most of the sites and cabins liked like they were permanent renters. Host was very friendly. Not somewhere I would stay again. It wasn't bad but wasn't great.
Staff were great. I was working and was told there was WiFi but be honest it wouldn't out run a turtle so could not really work. Grounds are very poor. Cabin was very clean and nice. $80p/n was not really value for money and I travel alot for work. Give it a try but don't expect to much.
Really loved it here. We have stayed all over NZ in lots of different campgrounds over the last 11 months. This was basic but perfect. Everything a kiwi holiday park should be. Great staff. The hot pool was really good.
Basic cozy little campground. Mostly permanent residents, all very friendly and welcoming. Cute little hot pool, swimming pool was closed for the winter though. Facilities basic but clean. Would definitely return.
We stayed in a cabin for the night before doing the Mount Te Aroha loop walk. The cabin was self contained and perfect for what we needed. We actually got upgraded to a different cabin as there was a cancellation and we really appreciated this, so thank you to the host for that. Beds were clean and comfortable and kitchen had all the stuff we needed to make toast and sandwiches in the morning. Good place to stay. There was a cool looking ropes/playground area that would be fun to play on
Located near a fantastic hiking spot. For this price, you're definitely getting a solid place with clean toilets/showers. Wifi is pretty solid and prone to disconnecting and the permanent residents can be a bit weird sometimes, but overall a pleasent stay!
