Went in store last Friday hoping to return the shoe that I bought online and the young man named Justin is very helpful it was a smooth process of exchange instead of refund as he humoured me about the shoe with support. Great customer service and knowledgeable about the product…. Livy
Think Twice Before Visiting This Store. If you value your time, money, and well-being, consider this a serious warning. Our experience at this store revealed a shocking level of negligence and disregard for basic consumer rights. We purchased a pair of shoes that looked fine but were unbalanced and caused immediate discomfort—knees bending inward, pelvic tilt, and minor pain—after only a few minutes of walking. Naturally, we returned to the store, calmly explaining the situation to both the salesperson and the manager, Justine, expecting a fair resolution. The response? Instant refusal. Their reasoning: “They’ve been worn, so we can’t resell them.” According to the store, it is the customer’s responsibility to determine if shoes are safe after a few steps. That is not only unreasonable—it is negligent. For context, we have never had any problem with non-arch shoes before, and suddenly the manager blamed the issue on us “getting arch shoes.” We never needed or wanted arch shoes—the product itself was the problem—but he refused to listen or acknowledge this Even after carefully explaining the health impact, staff remained indifferent. Only when we showed proof that we had contacted consumer protection did they suddenly act. Imagine the plight of other customers who aren’t aware of their rights—they would have walked away with an unwearable product. Resolving this issue took over an hour and a half of our time, simply to get what should have been a basic exchange. Only after showing proof of our consumer rights email did the store manager suddenly say, “I can now talk to our area manager to decide.” To make matters worse, he said we would have to wait until the area manager came tomorrow. Really? What about the consumer’s time and effort? Being told to come back another day just to have your rights recognized added unnecessary frustration. Resolving this took over an hour and a half of our time, simply to get what should have been a standard exchange. Imagine customers who don’t know their rights—they would walk away helpless. In the end, the store claimed, “It’s a loss for the store.” What about the customer’s loss? $170 wasted, potential leg problems, and extra money spent replacing the shoes—apparently irrelevant. If you care about being treated fairly, protecting your health, and avoiding frustration, do yourself a favor: avoid this store entirely.
I purchased one pair of Skechers on line. They were not a good fit and I needed a smaller size. I have been very impressed with the pleasant attitude of staff and I have a replacement pair, the correct size, only a few hours after the initial delivery. Not all companies swap items bought on line so easily. Thankyou Skeches Northlands staff.
Went to purchase shoes for hubby. Store very busy. One person serving. Got us the shoe to try and hubby asked for shoe horn. Was told he didn't need one and she walked off. He couldn't manage to get shoe on so we walked out. I've bought numerous Sketchers and have never had such useless service. You need more staff on particularly when there is a sale on.
Yesterday, I went to buy a pair of sandals at Skechers Northlands Mall. When I arrived, there was another customer ahead of me, but Hasmin greeted me warmly. She let me look around while she attended to the other client. When I asked her for my size, she quickly assisted me. Hasmin was very friendly and even complimented the pair I had chosen. I had a wonderful experience at this branch and would gladly return to be helped by their staff again in the future.
Excellent service from Emma - very helpful, certainly knew about the many different types of Skechers, and made sure we were entirely satisfied with the purchase. Nothing was a bother to her - very efficient. An asset to the Northlands Store.

Isabelle (hopefully spelt correctly) was very friendly and helpful at this store. I may have left or gone elsewhere but instead I walked away feeling happy to have spent money. She was able to handle multiple customers without impacting my experience. Overall product seems to fit my purpose well and excellent staff.
Amazing service, just a lovely natural friendly young lady. Knew her products, quick to find things in the back. I don’t need to back to this store for shoes but I will just because of the service
I brought a pair of skechers from Riccarton mall for work, the sales girl was so helpful, very professional,best pair of shoes i have ever brought, love them. My granddaughter and i went into the one at Northlands yesterday, the 2 sales girls that were behind the counter were talking and doing something on there phones, after about 20 minutes of looking around, with no help i said to my granddaughter, were not going to get any help here, so we left.
