Depressing looking. Reception lady nice enough. And be aware they force your cat to have the flu shot, after which my cat got really sick and I had to come back early from holiday anyway, as they don't want a sick cat. His health declined from that time on and died in a few months. I never have vaxxed any of my cats before and they live long lives.

Joan is so friendly and cares for all the cats so well. She keeps the rooms so clean with lots of toys. Winston came home very happy and was even brushed ! What a fantastic cattery.

Great Cattery! Could not have wished for better service. Clean and tidy cattery with excellent care for our Charlie. Great communication and regular updates on his care. Joan was just the best - really had Charlieβs care at heart. Thanks for the great care and service.

We had our lovely cat stay here over the Christmas period for about four weeks.. The cattery was spacious, with plenty of spots both high and low where cats could sit and observe the world outside. We got lots of updates along with photos which was great.

Terrible cattery, smelly and dirty. I sent my lovely cat there and he came back with fleas and with his fur coating just falling off him. The owner of the cattery did not feed him enough and I do not think she kept him in the cage that I thought he was going there. Lovely person working at reception but the owners were not there. NOT GOOD - I AM SURE SOMETIMES IT COMES UP TO SCRATCH AND THIS WAS ABOUT 18 MONTHS AGO. DO NOT SEND YOUR ANIMALS THERE

Would not recommend at all. I had two cats who stayed over the Christmas period in December/January 2022/2023. My cats came back stressed and not eating. One of my cats needed to be taken to the vets as she was so poorly (which Catsablanca take no responsibility for). Their bedding came back smelling of urine. Catsablanca reply was "Considering that this was their first time here and their age, they did fairly well" and by fairly well that meant the weren't eating and were apparently the messiest room "in the mornings due to the fact that they toileted everywhere". However, during the Auckland flooding my cats needed to be housed in a different cattery and the experience couldn't have been more different and they came back from this cattery relaxed and happy and what makes that even more remarkable is the fact they were stressed going into this cattery because of the chaos of the flooding experience. Catsablanca do not communicate with you and if something is wrong they shift the blame. If you love your fur babies as much as I do don't send them to Catsablanca.

Our girl stayed with Catsablanca for approx 10 days at the start of the year while we were relocating to the south island. Communication from Joan throughout her stay was fantastic, and despite my cat not adjusting all too well at the beginning (which was expected) they did a fantastic job of accommodating to her needs. It was a delight to be sent pictures of her throughout her stay. Overall took a lot of stress off me in the midst of a very stressful move. Absolutely recommend and would be more than happy to have my cats stay here again if I ever move back to Auckland

My precious cat Zarvi is 20 and has always been in the same cattery. I had to find another as my usual was full and found Catsalanca. The day before our holiday she become unwell and needed antibiotics for a few days. Catsablanca were truly amazing looking after Zarvi. They gave her the medication she needed and looked after her the way we pamper her at home. We also recieved emails and pictures which was wonderful. I cant thank Catsblanca enough for being so caring and dedicated to looking after our cat. I can highly recommend and will definitely be back !!!

Dropped both our cats off for a four day stay and when we picked them up one had lost a lot of weight and was very unsteady on her feet. Had to take here to the vet and she was severely dehydrated. The vet tried his best to get the cat back to health but in the end we had to put the cat to sleep as her kidneys had be too damaged from the dehydration. Their web site says they have 20 yearsβ experience in looking after cats and there is a 24 hour vet on call but they failed to pick-up that the cat was even unwell!! Couldnβt recommend them for their service and wonβt be using them again.

We booked our cats into a private room and asked to be able to take our cats in and settle them in. We were not allowed in to inspect the room or settle them in which was concerning. What was more concerning is that they both have up to date vaccinations and both came home with cat flu which seemed surprising considering we had paid for them to be separated from other cats. My cats have never had cat flu before and one of my cats has lost a huge amount of weight. This has cost hundreds of dollars in vet bills. I would say that if you don't like your cat(s) that much, then this place is fine to put them. If however you love your wee fur bundles, look elsewhere.
