I cannot thank Vet Andrea and the team at Park Hill clinic for the outstanding care, kindness and compassion shown to me and my faithful little mate Moki last week. They ensured that he crossed the Rainbow Bridge peacefully and were so very kind to me. Well done team.

My dog has been going here for 14 years. I never thought they were particularly great however, because of my dog’s long medical history of spinal disease, I stayed here thinking they would know him best. A couple of months ago, I took him in with what I believed was another spinal flare β€” something we’ve managed many times over the years. Instead of addressing his pain or prescribing appropriate medication, they focused on booking him in for a dental. I had to follow up by email to even ask if his teeth could be the cause of his pain this time, but ended up needing to go back in just to get pain relief. For some time, they have also been pushing Beransa injections, despite my dog never having a confirmed arthritis diagnosis. We have scans clearly showing spinal disease, yet they pushed Beransa constantly saying it was a wonder drug that would help him. I eventually believed them. Sadly, my dog had a severe reaction to Beransa. After his second injection, I connected the dots: he developed swelling (to the point I had to remove his collar), severe pain, panting, loss of appetite, wobbly, could barely move without back legs sliding out and was miserable. When I mentioned the swelling to the vet, it was dismissed. They instead gave him a clipper rash while taking bloods, then prescribed antibiotics for that rash. His condition declined so badly after each injection that I began discussing home euthanasia visits. Through this the only advice from this clinic was β€œbring him in again” for another paid consult β€” adding stress to a dog who was already suffering. What I wanted was for them to help adjust his medications and make him more comfortable (based on medications we have used in the past for his spinal disease - nothing new) but instead they missed key symptoms, dismissed my concerns, and seemed more focused on selling procedures than supporting my dog’s actual needs. Please read more reviews and talk to others in the community before trusting them with your fur baby

In 2023 we took my cat here as she had drastically lost a lot of weight and was constantly throwing up. After a very expensive consult, they assured us that she was now a healthy weight for her size and fine. We left and took her home, quite confused as this did not explain the sudden weight loss and constant vomiting that she was experiencing, but trusted their opinion. A few months went by and we saw a slight improvement, however her symptoms began to get a lot worse again, with more weight loss, more vomiting, and unhealthy bowel movements. During the next very expensive visit, they immediately started threatening us that she was now on the verge of being a welfare issue… even though we’d already taken her in for this issue already. After multiple visits and expensive tests, we received only multiple theories and no diagnosis, so we needed to purchase multiple different medications. If it weren’t for their fast, neglectful dismissal during our first visit, I truly think we could have cured her much earlier, and she’d be alive today. After spending thousands of dollars, and going by their instruction, nothing was working and she passed quietly at home with us, throughout the months of trying to heal her. The whole experience seemed very non-chalant, unempathetic, and only concerned about getting as much money out of us as possible. It was a horrible experience.

We have been bringing our two cats here (different ages, since they were kittens) for over three years now. Every time I need an appointment, they slot me in ASAP, sometimes even within 15 minutes. Both my cats are very well cared for, and every health issue is picked up promptly and perfectly. The staff are fantastic, professional, knowledgeable, and kind. Plus, there's easy parking. Even the package home with meds has a personal touch - very sweet :)

I had received a quote for our initial veterinary visit in AKL. A friendly and helpful young receptionist from the clinic took our information over the phone. We were excited about introducing our kitten to the vet this morning. However, my partner ended up being charged an excessive amount at this vet place. Evidently, there is an elderly receptionist who comes across as very arrogant. She insisted that the amount she had charged my partner was correct. Despite my partner's repeated inquiries about the price, she remained firm. The veterinarian even came out to support the elderly receptionist's claim and stated that the price was accurate, citing that our cat (who is approximately 8 months old) did not meet the criteria for a "kitten" vaccine service fee. My partner was skeptical since the charged amount significantly differed from our initial quote. Fortunately, another young receptionist intervened and corrected the elderly receptionist for overcharging us. I advise you to carefully review your bill when you visit this place. While the facility appears clean, the vet was sneezing and coughing while we were waiting.

We have been customers of Parkhill for years and have always been well looked after and had great service. Recently we had to make the hard decision to put down my very old cat and through the process they were so kind and even sent a card afterwards.

I cannot thank the team enough, for the genuine and empathetic way, they helped me make a very tough decision to let my beautiful Odin cross the rainbow bridge. Thank you so very much. You are truly special people.
