“What a fabulous place to meet up with friends. Set on the edge of Coronation park, it's away from the hustle and bustle, but close to the main shopping street, and Pilot bay. The treats on offer are devine, but my favorite is the cheesy savory scone. (They do celebration cakes too) Excellent coffee and the lemon ginger tea is delicious. The staff are awesome and look after our sizable group with ease, and nothing is too much trouble.”

About a week after our wheel alignment our car had another issue that needed fixing at the mechanic, which unfortunately meant we had to get the alignment done again. They were happy to give us a great deal on this which was much appreciated.”

“We experienced a flat tyre on our way back to Rotorua, but fortunately, I had exited the expressway before the situation worsened, and by chance, I luckily found myself in front of the Super Liquor Sandhurst store at 8:50 pm on Tuesday, October 1st, 2024. I enquired inside where the closest service station was. However, without hesitation, and kindness, Damo offered his assistance to change the tyre when he had closed up the store. “Absolutely adore this hidden gem and try to pop over from Whakatāne every few months. It's a treasure trove of secondhand books, spanking all genres. The owner has incredible knowledge and can help you find anything. Make sure you take an antihistamine (dusty for obvious reasons) and have a coffee before you arrive, as once you're here, you could easily spend hours perusing the shelves.”
