“Boat ramp to launch onto the lake. Great views across to Mokoia Island.”
“My wife and her mother loved it. The views were spectacular.”
“A beautiful place to stroll around. Lovely flowers & waterfall so very pretty”
“I found this little gem as I was looking for an outdoor space to create in and it has been perfect. It’s a simple and tasteful set up, French press coffee which is hot, many GF options in food, friendly staff, surrounded by roses and greenery. Needless to say I’m here a bit!!”

“A little relaxing and calm place, despite being located next to the railway. This Chinese-themed garden is well worth a visit.”
“You can visit the world's only mainland colony of Royal Albatross at the tip of the Otago Peninsula in Dunedin, New Zealand. Small guided tours to a glassed hide allows viewing of some of the nesting albatross. To protect the albatross from human disturbance, the headland is not publicly accessible. You can see adults in flight with their three metre wingspans as they glide around the headland. The centre is free to enter but tours are charged. Uneven terrain, lot of walking. Toilets available. Cafes available on site. Before the walkabout tour, you are given a demonstration/lecture about the birds and the work of the centre. Popular with tourists. Wear comfy shoes, take water, wear hat, sunscreen. Parking is easy. Amazing place to visit. Great place for photography.”
“We'd been dreaming of lava tunnels for years, so were so happy to get this under our belts. In fact, Rangitoto island could have easily kept us busy for two days, rather than the one we spent here. We didn't even have time to walk across to Motutapu island. Look, it is an old volcano, and you can see the bit that the lava came bursting out of just a few hundred years ago on google maps. Visit the summit, it's an ancient treasure; full of trees now but previously a fiery mouth, spewing molten rock at a temperature of 1500 C. I think it's amazing that this was going on while Salisbury Cathedral was being erected on the other side of the world. It is all well-signed, but from the wharf, take the summit track and then a brief diversion three-quarters of the way up. Bit of a scramble in and through, but it's well worth it; a mobile phone torch is all you need. Remember to look at the walls and appreciate the fact that just a few hundred years ago, searing basalt flows were gurgling through this very tunnel....... In geological time, that ain't very long ago... As an aside, study some geology; it is amazing. Especially if you are a bit religious and think the planet was only created 6,000 years ago and looks like it does now because of a big flood and that Emperor penguins swam all the way across the equator to the Levant to get on a big wooden boat. You definitely need a bit of education if you believe that.”
“If you're looking for the best local Italian restaurant, this is it! The atmosphere has an authentic old-school vibe that feels warm and welcoming. The staff are incredibly friendly and attentive, making the entire dining experience enjoyable from start to finish. The food is outstanding – from traditional pasta dishes to hearty mains, everything is cooked to perfection. And the pizzas? Simply amazing! Perfectly crispy crust, fresh toppings, and just the right amount of cheese. Whether you're out for a casual meal or celebrating a special occasion, this place never disappoints. Highly recommend it to anyone craving authentic Italian flavors!”
“Rosie looked after me with professionalism and attentiveness. I felt really looked after. I got a pair of trousers, and two tops. Highly recommend…..you won’t be disappointed!”

“We were looking for a Thai close to where we are, and we found this place. The food was very nice, authentic, flavourful, and fresh. They have a comprehensive selection of traditional Thai food. The atmosphere was good and the service friendly.”
“Great take away Indian food. A good amount of chicken in the dishes and more than enough sauce for just the one lot of rice. Butter chicken is my partners go to but I enjoy this one because it's not too sweet like some of the butter chickens from the malls. Naan is made fresh in the tandoori oven. The spicy dishes could be spicier but we'll definitely be back next time we're craving Indian. The guys there are super nice too.”
“The service was great, a little bit hard to understand the specials, but our waitress was pleasant and gave me some recommendations. The food was delicious and a good portion, price was average to good. I would definitely go back to try more from the menu.”
