Whilst this is a nice place to take a break and watch the river flow past with the occasional duck and swan that’s not the real highlight. In fact the stars are the friendly eels that frequent this part of the Avon. They are so friendly that they will slither out of the river to eat almost anything you give them. Pretty sure I saw some locals feeding them some chopped up spam. Quite a site!!

This is a neat seating area, made up of a series of steps with poem like text which can be read from the opposite bank of the Avon River. You can fin the terraced seating next Oxford Terrace and the Bridge of Remembrance.
