    Went there Wednesday they only had the Wednesday menu steak burger vege pizza. Very limited options usually have a salad but none of that. Hubby had scotch fillet steak was full of grissel mushrooms sauce was like soup very disappointed

    Lake Waihola Tavern - Wednesday steak night but no rump steak! No onion rings either, one handwritten menu being passed around between tables, and we couldn’t even buy a bottle of Sav or Pinot Gris to take home because stock was low. You really need to lift your game! And what is it with just chips, where is the mash - that’s what you need with Steak with mushroom sauce!!

    What a great tavern! Tasty food, served us at 8pm even though the wait staff were putting out the fire. Ribs, tender and juicy, filo, crisp and moreish, fish was well cooked, good to see some hand cut potatoes. Would absolutely recommend.
