“Epic day for a totally reasonable price. It was my first experience surfing and Phil was an absolute legend. Clearly a pillar of the community and a surfing veteran, he was a great teacher and brilliant chat. He had me catch a wave first try and improve solidly over the lesson so I was able to ride a few in to the beach. Can't think of a better setting to surf than Piha either. Five stars”

“Started from no driving experience to passing my restricted in one go, within a few classes!! I definitely had such a great experience learning how to drive. From the start, driving has been a fear for myself and to learn was something I was very hesitant of, however, with my tutor I was at ease and very comfortable. She understands each step of a new driver and pushes you to do your best, her efforts and patience let me get the best out of her lessons and I’m super grateful! “Surfed at Muriwai surf school on Nov 15th with Myma and Thomas. Had the BEST experience!!! Myma is amazing!!! Very patient with extremely good instruction! We were in a group of 8 and everyone was able to get up ! The location is fantastic and absolutely beautiful. Both Thomas and Myma gave great instructions and kept us all very safe. Even though there were 8 of us it felt like we were in a private lesson. Both Thomas and Myma spent plenty of one on one time with everyone and we all had an amazing experience. Highly recommend!!!”

“I tried to learn Guitar in Intermediate School, but always felt like the classes weren't structured enough, I then joined AGS in 2016. At the school, every lesson has a meaning, where you can walk away and feel like you're improving every week. Dylan is a great teacher because he helps you understand music rather than just play it, and this has led to a quick progression in my skill that I didn't think was possible. With this understanding, I can now look at new music on my own and feel like what was once daunting is possible, if I stop to think about what's written on the page in front of me.”

“I had been at Auckland Guitar School for 9 years and I can certainly say that not only have I grown as a guitarist and a musician. The teachers at AGS provide great feedback and help, personalising lessons even whilst being a group lesson. The social aspect of being AGS is definitely a plus. The little and big gigs are great way to showcase your guitar skills to like-minded people. While I unfortunately had to leave AGS due to a changing schedule, I can certainly say that if you want to learn guitar well, come to AGS!”

“My daughter has been attending this dance school for over 12 plus years catering from preschool up , they have a wide range of dance class options and all the teachers are kind , passionate and not intimidating to anyone just starting out . The studio is very central in west auckland with clean and tidy facilities and great carparking. Would highly recommend .”

“As an intermediate wing foiler from Europe, I made a material rental for a session in Lake Pupuke with madloop a few days a ago. Alan set me up with the right setup for my level of expertise and the wind conditions, which shows he knows what he is doing and listens to his customers. We also had a very nice chat with Alan which is clearly very driven and knowledgeable in the wing foil sports.”
