“This place was such a great find, amazing food, super friendly staff, and dining with views over rolling farmland made the whole experience feel extra special.”
“Recently opened and was my first visit. Amazing service and great coffee and cheaper than in the village. I will be back to try the yummy looking food! Came back for lunch. Fantastic food. Amazing shake and will definitely return.”
“What a lovely surprise as the outside is so unassuming. Comfy atmosphere with gentle background music. The food is YUM!!. We had BLT and French Toast, hot chocolate and coffee. Beautiful presentation matched the great taste. The cabinet food looks devine, will need to come back for that.”
“Really delicious iced mocha. Perfect mix of chocolate and coffee. Also the inside is really beautiful.”
“This place just re-opened last week. Their bruch options are classic and delicious. They do a very good coffee! Would recommend the Rosti Benedict with hot smoked salmon! All their pastries and cakes are fresh and made in house too. Location is beautiful, you can half a walk along the beach after your meal! The new owners are lovely and very friendly!”
“Ordered the Great Big Breakfast for brunch today. Definitely hit the spot, satisfying my hunger pains after a big gym session. Scrambled eggs (extra eggs) cooked to perfection. Breakfast sausage full of flavor, hash brown golden and crunchy. Bacon cooked just right. Staff very friendly and welcoming. The Cafe had a nice warm and homely vibe. Definitely recommend this place if your looking for somewhere nice to eat.”
“Decent brunch place, interesting location with somewhat difficulty in parking. Clean atmosphere and a nice array of fusion brunch menu. Nice sushi, enjoyed the dish, anything including Asian twist on traditional brunch menu is always up my alley!”
“Amazing staff and amazing coffees. I went in with my team’s orders, about 8 coffees and other sweet treats. They whipped up the coffee order in minutes. And the cabinet food was delicious. They got my matcha order perfectly! Going to be regular here now. Thanks for your quick and lovely service ❤️”
“Absolutely loved our visit! The staff were incredibly welcoming and friendly — we felt right at home as soon as we walked in. The waffle was amazing — perfectly crispy on the outside and full of flavour. The real fruit ice cream was so fresh and delicious too! Highly recommend for anyone looking for a sweet treat and great service!”
“Beautiful food with huge range of gluten free options. The Korean fried chicken is the best I’ve had - will be back soon. Unsure what the other recent reviews are on about - very good value and the staff clearly put a lot of effort into presentation too.”
“Delicious big breakfast! Possibly the best I’ve had on the shore! It came with everything I’d want on a breakfast with homemade baked beans, a potato rosti, perfectly cooked eggs, bacon, mushrooms, tasty sausages and just overall amazing! My friend got the smashed avomamae, panna cotta muesli and orange juice which came together as one dish, for anybody who can’t decide between sweet and savoury! Would definitely recommend KARA! Friendly table service!”
“Had and americano and avocado salmon sourdough. Coffee a little sour but the salmon avocado was absolutely delicious! I will definitely be back for more very very soon as my friend just bought an apartment upstairs! Service: 5/5 Food Quality: 5/5 Drink Quality: 4/5 Environment: 4/5 Presentation: 5/5 Price per person: $15-$20”
“Fantastic little cafe with delicious cabinet and menu options! Tried the matcha strawberry latte, early grey basque cheesecake, and the HK French toast. All were delicious and drool worthy. They look AND taste amazing (which can be hard to find). Really want to go again to try more of their menu! The staff and owners are very warm, welcoming, friendly and cheerful. There were so many locals that swung by for their usual orders and the team were tuned in. Knew the regular orders, continued conversations from when they last saw them, so just some really genuine people. Also dog friendly, which is my personal favourite point!”
“The real thing! Davenport deli cafe is unpretentious but feels like an old Europe cafe. The coffee (latte in a glass) was exquisite and the blueberry cheese cake one of the best I've had - Vienna move over! The setting across from the art deco Devonia bldg with a choice of sidewalk or breezy inside seating adds to the experience. Head for the cafe as soon as you get off the ferry; a three minute walk. Oh I also picked up a frittata to take away - two kinds available: ham or veggie great value or try the quiche: spinach + feta or bacon and egg.”
“A good experience in every sense. The pies are master pieces. They even have an award. My flat white was strong enough to be one of the best”
“This place serves Western food and drinks as well as Vietnamese dishes with northern Vietnamese flavors. The food here suits my taste. Delicious! The drinks are also great. They decorate the cozy space, look neat and clean. Friendly and helpful service. Thank you! I will be back.”
“I recently visited Neil Cafe and bar and was truly impressed by the outstanding quality of my meal also a very reasonable price especially considering the quality of the ingredients. I had a slow cooked pork belly on mash with fresh salad. The meal was very generous in size and I was sorry when I had finished despite being unable to eat anything else cos I was very full! Seriously it's my favorite place to eat now.”
“Absolutely beautiful. Found this cafe on google and next time im in auckland will be back to try more of the menu. Eggs bene on home made hash was devine! Worth the money !”
“Service at this place is provided with wise and respectful attention to detail. The people at Urban Café are friendly and efficient. The atmosphere is like a warm family reception. I love to to relax and renew, revitalizing my energy levels here.”
“This little local is a hidden gem and the menu (new) is what prompted me to leave his review. New offerings which imply Grandy’s is customer first and they revel in seeing joy and engagement from their customers. The 2 new offerings that I tried were the Creamy Miso Udon and Chicken Katsu Sando and they were both full of flavour and taste. The atmosphere is chill and relaxed. Support local, especially such a precious treasure. Keep it up and many thanks to Grandy’s and Team for such great hospitality and dedication.”
“Very good coffee, friendly service, attentive staff. Straight forward menu with no issue to modify any selection. Price is very reasonable as well. Top notch.”
“Wow what a beautiful cafe. The food was 10/10. Tasted great and presented so well. The service was excellent and really felt valued while eating here. Highly recommend! Definitely our new local for a coffee and brekkie! Parking was also very easy and plenty of it”
“There is no cafe in Auckland that can compete with these views. This is the best. We hadn't heard of it but B Cafe came up in a search for 'quiet, relaxing' cafe and it delivered on that in spades. Great coffee, delicious food and lovely owner. You should go here.”
“After a refurbishment and challenging times due to never ending road works, Ambler reopened recently, much to the delight of the neighbourhood. Dishes have never disappointed whenever we’ve been, and we’ve gone through the whole menu, breakfast, lunch and dinner. The chefs know their flavours, cook time and combinations. Yum, yum, and yum!”
“Just popped in for coffee. Guy didn't listen to me as I ordered a mocha and ended up with a caramel mocha. Coffee was still good and well presented. The music could have been a better choice for the space. I felt like Barry white was going come out and caress me. Actually that wouldn't be so bad.”
“Friendly staff, always Plenty to choose from for both sweet and savory tastes. Delicious cabinet food ready to go. This place is always pretty busy, and for good reason. Tables inside and outside available with weather coverage for the damper days. Highly recommend you make the stop if you're in the area. Treat yourself!”
“Best place for breakfast outside of the cbd. Very well prepared and painstakingly detailed presentation of delicious breakfast items. A wide range to choose from. Very reasonably priced. Fantastic service and very warm, friendly staff. Pet friendly outside seating available. Clean toilets. Quite a well lit corner, tucked away in one of Auckland's oldest suburbs. Definitely recommended over any other eating establishment in Mt Albert!”
“Thank you so much to Anj, Jackson and Preet for making my private function so memorable. The food was amazing and my guests (40+) were all so impressed especially those gluten free. Nothing was an issue and the service was exceptional. This place is an absolute asset to Mt Albert.”
“Slow Lane: oh, my goodness - incredible! Apparently they were understaffed when we visited (during rush hour) but their customer service did not slow/suffer at all. Amazing, friendly service. Decent sized, tasty meals. We will definitely go again!”
“I visited this cafe with my daughter today.I ordered Flat White and Egg and Bacon muffin. Coffee is good but no good art. Food is not special, just ok. Place is enough to serve group. Interior is good. Cleanness is quite good. Service is very fast and good. Staffs are kind. Recommend for morning tea and coffee break.”
