“Very nice wooden dance floor in the hall. It's not a huge hall so great for small to medium sized events, maybe max about 50 people.”
“my moko is new to this place, staff are always welcoming a cross section of mum's dad's & grand careers as well... the children have fun, there's so much variety of activities to do here.... very popular place...”
“Definitely recommend. Was a great venue to host my son’s 5th birthday party. Perfect space for the kids to play on the playground and there was a room for us to have a bouncy castle as well. Was easy and simple to book and had no issues at all :)”
“Absolute amazing place. We had my sons birthday there and everyone loved it. Highly recommend And the starwars lego up the very top awesome. Will be going back”
“I would like to thank the wonderful team at The Learning Corner for teaching, guiding, mentoring and taking care of our daughter from February to April 2025, when she transitioned to Primary School age. My daughter was enthusiastic about going to the Learning Corner and had lots to speak about when she would come home every day - about her friends and particularly all her teachers. She loved all the activites, fun programmes and games at this insitituion. Most importantly she felt loved and felt safe at the Learning Corner. She enjoyed, grew and matured under their able guidance and their efforts together with the wonderful team of teachers and staff. We were blessed to have your support and encouragement, as a new family settling into New Zealand academic system and life. We are immensely grateful for every blessing that we have received from The Learning Corner.”
“Did art class here in the 80s and cooking class with my mum in the 90s”
“A really nice, multi-use gymnasium - two large arenas with a viewing platform between. Houses gymnastics and trampoline National and international competitions and training.”
“Awesome scenes view here at top of hill. Great AKL cityview and also the ferry available. Nice spot”
“Went to a friend's kids birthday, great venue for a party. So cool!”
“We visit here once a year for Speech and Drama exams. Ample parking available”
“Busy Bees Apollo has been our home for the last 4.5 years. We have our two daughters here and they love it. The teachers are caring and keep us updated on our children’s progress. We can only speak highly of this learning centre and will continue to recommend it to friends and family. Thanks for everything, BBA!”
“We had a great time on all the games. I especially enjoyed the No Mans Land VR free-roam no cables team battle shooter!”
“Great place with a variety of activities you can enjoy. Playground, skate park and basketball courts provide plenty of fun for kids. Easy walking track (there are stairs on the track) Soccer fields are well looked after and great for exercising and plenty more”
“I grew up around this place - used to have a paper round that passed by it (back when it was surrounded by fields) and I still like to pop back and visit on occasion. Though it always seems smaller than I remember. There are some great bush walks, a nice picnic area, and in the summer, swimming pools.”
“Having enjoyed the magnificent views at sunrise today, 16/2/2024, we are so blessed to start our beautiful day off every Friday. At around 6:50am, the Sun rose gradually above the sea level. We stood on the grass which was a bit wet and watched the sunrise peacefully and gracefully. There were not many people there at that time, apart from a few joggers who do their daily jog along the trail. We enjoyed our packed breakfast and homemade coffee in our car with the amazing sunrise picturesque view. We highly recommend you to watch sunrise there if you live near Bucklands Beach or Half Moon Bay in East Auckland.”
“We chose private hire of party kingdom, not only was it clean, safe and it was a cool temperature during a hot day, they went above and beyond setting up two parties rooms and Eve the owner setup an extra party room as a disco room which was a hit, I found the price extremely cheap and lucky for what we were provided, the service was amazing and run by a local family. If you want real effort and real service this is the place to go as I will be telling everyone. We plan parties for children everyday this is our life I decided I couldn’t do it this year as it’s our job and it was the least stressful birthday I have ever had, We were very fortunate and my kids can’t wait to do this again. Eve and Adam have created such a wonderful place for families I couldn’t recommend it more. Edit: Reading the bad reviews below on what people are complaining about really hits home, this is a family run business not a corporation, businesses cost money, us family run businesses can’t afford multiple staff, I feel like some people nothing still ever be good enough, people need a reality check. Eve juggled so many people at our party and everyone was actually over the moon. Don’t spend $9 and complain about it what is wrong with you people.”
“It's a nice playground but it doesn't have any bathroom nearby but good for kids 4 and up”
“Love this little spot for a picnic on a hot day! Kell Park has everything you need and more: plenty of shade, public toilets, ample parking and pushchair/wheelchair accessible pathways. Dogs are allowed off leash year round (although mind the free range chickens!) Albany library is just alongside so perfect to grab a book and read in the shade. There is a small playground (suitable for younger children) in the main park - or follow the pathway in either direction for a short bush walk to the big slide and flying fox (flying fox was out of order when we visited Jan 2024). For older children there isn’t a lot to do here - though the flying fox if working would be a good draw. We visit this park fairly frequently and it is never busy.”
“This park is always clean and well maintained. Though its not a main park its always looking like one. Great area for kids to play. Maybe have a sunsade somewhere? Thats a bit to ask but wont know unless you ask.”
“Great space fun for all ages. Plenty of shade.”
“Monarch Park is a picturesque park that combines natural beauty with excellent amenities. Its lush greenery, walking trails, and well-kept picnic areas make it a perfect spot for families, joggers, and nature enthusiasts. The park's calm and welcoming atmosphere provides a refreshing escape from the hustle of daily life. Whether you're looking for a place to relax, enjoy outdoor activities, or connect with the community, Monarch Park is a fantastic choice.”
“Good size park, flat area with playground”
“Fabulous location for a quiet walk or to run the dog or perhaps have a picnic, plenty of space coupled with a lil wildlife and scenic views all inside a residential neighborhood.”
“Absolutely nice choice kids and adults to have good leisure time.Well maintained and organized playgrounds with unique designs.Along with that more than sufficiently parking facilities.. Such a big playground facilities to entertain kids. Really unique one slide, all thinks twice before trying it.Near to that huge playground for adults and free equipment for workout... “Love this park! Usually a night market on the weekends and plenty of space for kids, playgrounds, basketball courts, and even flat ground skatepark with some mini ramps. They also host events here like Matariki!”

“One of the best parks I have ever taken the kids to. So many things for them to do and plenty of space. Lots of parking. This park has everything, after going to so many different playground across Auckland with the kids this one is the best by far.”
